Well "puta" would be the correct word, no? Assuming we're talking about Spanish profanity.

Never heard anybody called puto.

Safe to say that Chavez Jr is one hell of a narcissist and is defaming his father's name.

Puto is correct.

lolchavez

Edit: Catching the replay and it seems like the ref could have probably stopped it after the knockdown. Right after the count he tried to clinch and his legs were completely out.

Carl Froch has to be gutted over the JCC result, I doubt he fights GGG so it's Andre Ward or retirement I suppose.

Russia is not a tolerant country towards people who aren't white men. Doesn't make that picture acceptable, but it isn't a surprising post.

I guess there's a small chance he fights DeGale if he was to beat Andre Dirrell.

Anything less than a dominant UD by Chavez would have me pissed off if he fought Stevenson, Ward, Froch or even GGG (imagine how much punishment GGG would've given him...). His name is a waste of a match for top opponents (from a fan perspective) unless/until he gets his act together, which seems less likely with each passing fight.

As far as Froch goes, he's quickly reaching the Miguel "I've earned the right to do what I want, you shouldn't question me about avoiding any good fighter" Cotto status. Primadonna.

He lost to the best in the division, came out on the right side of a war vs a good aging fighter, got gifted a stoppage then had the KO of his career vs a top 5 division opponent. Lets not act like he's the stuff legends are made of. He's had a good run, but like Miguel Cotto, he's good, not great. If he's not going to move up or down a level (and that's OK given his age), he should be fighting Degale or a Dirrell, assuming he doesn't want to try again against Ward (in LV, not England).

You could replace Russia with USA and it wouldn't be much different.

Im convinced Calzaghe could come out of retirement then train for 6 months and then beat Carl " The tit " Froch.

The largest white nationalist organization, Council of Conservative Citizens, claims 15,000 members. The largest in Russia, Slavic Union, has 70,000 members.

What is the likelihood of Crawford vs Garcia happening anytime within the next 12 months?
SE Boxing Thread (not waiting for PBF v. Pac II) Quote

Slim to none I'd think.

Garcia is repped by Al Haymon, and Crawford is a Top Rank star. Also, Crawford's style probably wins a wide UD 75% of the time so I don't think Haymon would let that happen.

I don't anticipate Garcia fighting anyone very good for his next 2-3 fights. I think as "big" as we'll see is like Roberto Garcia at 147, or Devon Alexander, and probably not even as big as those two guys.

Garcia def. not as good as his record indicates. He'll keep being overrated so long as he keeps on luckboxing close decisions.

Contract not signed yet for Floyd/Manny? Seems like much ado about nothing but still bizarre. Bob Arum sounded pissed...

It's not signed because Floyd hasn't finished reading it yet.

I occasionally have a daydream of that. The response would be similar to when Frazier knocked down Ali in the Fight of the Century imo.
