What do you guys think of this video? I'm definitely a noob at boxing and I only boxed for a few months when I was a teenager but I found his analysis interesting.

I'm assuming Khan's reasoning for the fight will be to prove he can do a better job against Algieri than Manny did.

Khan knows he's built himself up well in recent fights and a heavy defeat to a Brook or Broner kills his career.

Basically .. hes trying to move into a position to get a pay day off Mayweather with as little risk as possible.

Khan has spent most of his career cherry picking the right / named opponent at the right time.

He's basically admitting he cannot beat any natural WW who has decent power ... or is refusing to risk it in case he somehow gets his payday.

Fighting these non punching natural 140 guys does not justify a fight with Mayweather at 147.

IBF ordered 147 eliminator between @Timbradleyjr & @AmirKingKhan. IBF said Khan turned it down.

It's going to be on free TV in the Philippines on TFC, GMA, and TV5. I am assuming that's only in the Philippines though and they'll block it for USA customers that get TFC and/or GMA. We'll see I guess.

Pac sold the TV rights for $10M to the three networks to jointly broadcast it on free TV.

If Khan comes out of the fight with a KO then he can make an argument that he deserves the winner of Floyd vs Manny. Not that I agree, but he can make that argument to many fans, perception is all that really matters in boxing.

And what argument would that be ?

Since he scraped a win against Maidana he's done the following.

Beat a very average fighter in McCloskey
Beat a well past it Judah
Tried to be the best at 140 and got beat by Peterson and Garcia
Scraped wins against a terrible Molina and and yet another over the hill Diaz
Moves up to 147 and fights another past his best in Collazo.
Then chooses a light non punching WW who got brushed aside by someone that Brook beat.

And now Algieri ....

And he sprouts off how he deserves to fight Mayweather.

I was starting to give Khan and his crew a little respect for at least trying to improve his overall strategy in fights but now im annoyed for allowing myself to almost fall for his hor$e****.

Fwiw khan did not lose to Peterson. I watched that fight and it was on the short list of most rigged judging in last 10 years.

I think khan might be interesting against may weather. With his quick hands and boxing skills he can maybe box with Floyd, so may force Floyd to try to knock him out, which Floyd doesn't like to do, I guess because he hurts his hand if he punches too hard.
