Would prefer Canelo/Kirkland. I mean the outcome isn't really in doubt. Kirkland brawls and has a glass jaw. Pretty bad combination.

Cotto is a free agent, but he often uses Top Rank. He can fight on any network though, not tied to HBO like Manny.

Alvarado looked like trash.

On that note, I was too many drinks deep last night, I loaded up Alvarado Rios I, thinking it was III. Watched the entire thing, thought it was odd that the crowd was chanting Rios since this was supposed to be in Denver. Postfight interviews were also a bit off. Realized it was I then watched III. Luckily III was quite short. But I think Alvarado had even more drinks Friday night, given the way he fought.

Kirkland gonna get crushed. He should look like Angulo vs Canelo. Way too much speed, power and boxing skill. Kirkland cashing out. Should've fought a few bums first for some good, easy paydays first, but that guy was never mentally right.

Couple of news items for British boxing today. Firstly Frankie Gavin has signed with Matchroom and secondly and pretty significant I think, Carl Frampton's next fight will be live on ITV Feb 28th. That's a huge coup for Barry Mcguigan. The week before that, Murray v Golovkin is also on terrestrial TV on CH5.

Seems 2015 won't be all about Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren.

Jermain Taylor has to get a mental evaluatioin.

Damn shame. Got the **** beaten out of him by Froch, Pavlik, and Abraham. His comeback fails due to a weapons charge. In hindsight, that may be a good thing because he shouldn't be in the ring to begin with. Wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to show signs of CTE or something like that.

Frampton fight goes out on itv4 around the UK, we get him here on the main ITV channel.

Hope it is huge for them, wouldn't mind ITV showing top class boxing again.
