I'm definitely not saying Devon is a bad fighter. He's definitely better than JSK. I'm just saying he can be broken and is not a fighter i would be comfortable betting as a huge favorite.
Devon can definitely outbox a lot of fighter. I'm not sure he can go to war with a lot of top-fighters though.

To me (and i may be wrong) he's an example of an excellent amateur that, while having success, does not translate well into the pro-style.

hey i agree 100% i don't rly like devon

but him v maidana was an ugly fight and an embarrassment

i *think* devon has more skills than ppl give him credit for. like what happens *if* devon outboxes jsk here. it shouldnt mean that much but it will

Any fight with JSK is a fight worth watching.

Alexander is definitely a very good boxer. But he's coming off a big loss, losing his title, and fighting a tough power puncher. He could eat him alive 4 out of 5 times, but that other 1 in 5 he could get KOd.

yeah i def agree with that

i am rooting for jsk to knock him out frankly and it wouldn't be that surprising. i hope it's a great fight

And if there was going to be any bias in judging it is likely it would have been towards Provodnikov who is the "money man" in this situation
IDK it was in NYC and Algieri is from that area. I didn't score the fight but I agreed with hbo's scorecard however probably some swing rounds I would give to Algeri instead. I would have been outraged if I bet on the fight (prolly provdnikov) and he lost. I just thought he landed the more effective punches and not pitty-pat punches that do no damage at all.

I just caught up on the Guerrero fight. Man that was awesome! I gotta think that was a FOTY candidate for sure. Epic slugfest

ended up being a really good card

thought alexander dismantling jsk was promising and means he needs to be back in the picture, and lomachenko destroying russell was a great good v evil win. can't root for the guy who has been put in against a bunch of tomato cans over the guy who has only fought hte best. main event obviously supremely entertaining although i had it 10-2 guerrero

Guerrero/Kamegai is potential FotY. Reminded me a lot of the Figueroa/Arakawa fight from last year. One fighter with a great chin and incredible heart faced a clearly superior fighter who has better power, stamina, and just as much of a heart and chin.

9-3 Guerrrero imo

Just caught up on the main showtime fights.

Had Alexander winning 97-93. I like that he didn't hold and he actually traded here and there. Soto is a remarkably terrible fundamental fighter, but I felt like he kept himself in this fight and gave himself a shot to hurt Alexander, just didn't happen. If Alexander fights more like this, I won't mind watching future fights of his.

Had Lomachenko winning 118-110. Thought if someone really bought into what GRJ was doing (mostly punching air with fast hands, just zero accuracy), they could have Lomachenko winning 115-113. But that draw was just terrible judging in my mind. Lomachenko looked good, this wasn't exactly unexpected (he was the favorite and wasn't a bigger favorite bc of a lack of pro fights, losing a very close previous fight, and GRJ being a kind of unknown quantity due to getting the full Haymon treatment). Punch stats were really interesting in this one.

Guererro fought stupid, but easily won. Wasn't impressed with his opponent, not sure why he fought that way, so unnecessary. I guess Guererro vs Alexander is kind of a good matchup, winner gets like Thurman type opponent.

Crawford -195 is my buy this week. Still not sure if I'm going to that fight, undercard so poor, but tickets are very cheap.

Burns sure got caught early with that big left lol.

I still think he probably wins, but we'll see, only 2 minutes in (Burns went down in first 15 secs or so).

Burns getting beaten pretty handily by my eyes. Maybe hasn't even won a round, though I bet judges have given him 1-2 at least.

Just isn't landing much effectively, and getting hit with slow power punches time and again.

My Crawford bet suddenly looks a bit more ordinary
