GGG was Geale's mandatory last year but Geale vacated the belt instead.

I could've been influenced by Vera being his opponent. Vera is not fast at all and Chavez looked way faster to me.

But it could also be the whole accuracy thing. I mean timing and accuracy make a boxer's punches flow super well (so it can appear fast).

PlzBeALevel, I assume Geale vacated so he could fight Barker instead? Was Geale fighting Barker for a vacated belt too or did Geale hold the belt? I thought the latter for some reason (assuming that's a different belt).

Think he vacated it to fight Mundine.

The Herbie Hide case is ridiculous. Someone said he wanted coke and Hide said he knew a dealer. Hide gets 22 months in jail.

However, Geale eventually vacated the belt he picked up against Sturm in order to take the lucrative rematch with Mundine rather than face Gennady Golovkin in a mandatory fight.
Right on, thanks.

Makes sense, Mundine was a bigger name then, GGG smaller name. I think it's reversed now.

You have to laugh, Groves seems to have forgotten during his campaign for a rematch that he didn't grant James DeGale one.

He beat DeGale twice

Amateur fights don't count, otherwise Lee has beaten Barker for example (and a million other things).

I got Stevenson -500, then a little bit on Kovalev -1000.

These seem like warm-up fights for Stevenson/Kovalev

Lemieux doesn't look bad. Obviously has some flaws that would be exploited by better boxers, but he's not even 25 years old yet and you can see some talent here (especially power).

Good fight here between Bizier and Dan. I don't think either of these guys would do much against Alexander or Brook though.

Well that's why Stevenson isn't excited to fight Kovalev next.

I hope Ward fights him. I'd rather see that over GGG.

Yea seriously. Being able to wind up on that 2nd one was just nasty.

I wish they interviewed him with a translator, so we could get a real answer to the taunting question, stupid announcers got me curious about it.
