Whoever fights a Chinese fighter better knock him out because there's no way a Chinese fighter will lose a decision here.

oh yeah i guess it was at the theater at msg which only seats like 4500

whoops

I still think a ward/ggg fight will make plenty of sense down the road especially given lack of alternativies

GGG is gaining super fast. 4 fights ago there were like a hundred people watching him fight, now there are thousands.

A few more KOs and a big win (think a Macklin caliber guy like Murray or Lee) and he'll be bigger than anyone at 160 except possibly Sergio (Martinez isn't that big a name, he made a little over a mil vs Chavez's 3 mil iirc).

You're probably right.

But I used to think it was a home town judge type riggage, in reality, it's often foreign judges influenced by the hometown crowd.

Should put 3 judges in a boxed room with like 4 HD TVs and replay abilities between rounds for scoring. It's gotten far too out of hand in recent years, entertainment commentators are doing a far better job than judges these days.

Being ringside is a handicap too as far as scoring goes.

Unless you're in Texas. If you're not from Texas, you lose.

Like this idea. They are there after all 2 do a job so should not really be enjoying the atmosphere or being influenced by it.

Some good early headlines today.

- Froch avoids the double right; can't avoid the single right.

- CJ Ross has found new work. She wears a mask and calls herself John Foster.

- Highly regarded announcer Jim Watt passed away today. He died choking on George Grove's balls.

I gotta say most announcers suck so it is not surprising or a uniquely British Sky Sports thing but every fight I have watched with them (less than 5) I have come away with the impression that they are huge homers for one fighter or the other

HBO isn't the greatest either (RJJ and Ward are no good, no idea why I used to like Roy) but I don't mind Lampley at all and I really like Kellerman

Paulie pretty good on showtime if you ask me but not sure how popular of an opinion that is

Actually, I enjoy RJJ. He used to suck because he kept comparing fighters to himself and thank Jesus and **** like that.

oh okay, I haven't been paying attention either. I just assumed Shiming was either main or 2nd to last undercard fight.

cuz i'm prob gonna go out tonight and miss the fight if it isn't till like 11:30 ET

should be a fine main event but just not worth it with my ****ty streams. I"ll just watch it next sunday on HBO or whatever. The fight does kind of intrigue me though but I think manny wins a lopsided decision
