If there was ever a fight to have a judge or two (or three) in your pocket, it'd be this one (for Top Rank and/or HBO).

I doubt these judges even got paid 5k each.

JCC such a crybaby, god.

I wanted him to lose though because I don't want him to waste big fights against legit fighters. Imagine of JCC gets priority against Ward over GGG? Definitely reasonable situation given JCC's stupid popularity.

There's a reason this sport is almost extinct in terms of losing viewers.

embarrassing performance from Chavez. Vera won this fight.

Poor Vera. He deserved it. Marty Denkin should jump off a cliff with his scorecard in his teeth.

Oh God please make GGG/JCC Jr happen! Chavez's face would end up a complete mess against GGG.

Even though I saw the decision coming a mile away, when I heard the wide scores I thought, wow, the judges got it right, eight two is ridiculous either way but is at least conceivable for Vera. I'm such a sucker.

This is why I will never buy a PPV boxing match.

Well, maybe Pacman/Mayweather but that's it.

Boxing might be my favorite sport to watch......if it wasn't rigged, the fix is in, etc. in so many ways.

Just in the last few years there have been jaw-dropping decisions left & right. I think it's just because how the sport is set up.

The promotors rule. Biggest two.....King (not much anymore) & Arum. Although since Mike Tyson even called King "Reptilian"......looks like it's Arum & Golden Boy.

But the biggest promotors make the rules & boxing judges are such a joke because of it.

HBO is losing more credibility in its brand these days.

I wanna see GGG fight the best right now....good luck with that.....it's hard to judge the fight winner the guy who is unconcious on the floor of the ring.......but Arum & whoever the other scumbags who control boxing would probably find a way.

Something else that has made boxing a joke. At one time....they had forever to put that together & it would have been the biggest money fight in boxing history......& it doesn't get made.

Now....I think most folks have lost a lot of interest in even seeing that. SAD.

And the boxing documentary "Assault in the Ring". Boxing is riddled with this stuff.

I agree with u here about what u say....& don't think u are a sucker......because as Gump's Mom said "Boxing judges are like chocolates, u never know what ur gonna get".

How about when Pac-Man fought Bradley on HBO & their judge Harold Lederman had the fight 11 rounds to 1 for Pacquiao & the fight judges scored it a win for Bradley? And just sooo many other ridiculous judging scores.

U just never know who they will "give" a fight to. I've seen this in MMA too....but not nearly as bad as boxing.

I also thought it would go to JCC, although before I heard the scores I thought we would hear it was a split decision like this.

1st judge has it 96-94 Vera. 2nd judge has it 96-94 JJC jr. And 3rd judge has it 96-94 JCC jr.

Have you noticed that in most fights that are split decisions.....the 1st judges scorecard will have the loser winning on their card? More drama that way I guess.

I really don't understand these forums sometimes. Probably because I'm older than the main demographic here.

I said King not much anymore...he is 82....but then Arum is 81. Then I said now its Arum & Golden Boy. Also u have Dibella, Shaw, Goosen, etc.

Yes, to be specifically correct I should have said he isn't even a factor anymore....and about time. Although when u say King has NO One anymore.....u might not want to bet the farm on that.

Speaking of reptiles (King & Arum)......They certainly both applied the real Golden Rule with boxing & boxers.....although Arum probably still goes to Goldman Sachs bank & King probably goes to his piggy bank.
