Boxers don't box because they're smart.

Surprisingly good round despite having one arm. Didn't win the round, but still impressive.

bleh
i would watch this fight again if berto had 2 arms
idk where the hell he goes from here he has to be completely devastated emotionally after last few fights and i dont think he had it all upstairs regardless

He's only 29. He has enough time to come back.

I just think he has lost to every b level fighter he has fought
i guess he beat zaveck but thats not saying much
i would definitely watch berto cuz he is entertaining but he seemed really emotionally down in his interviews before this fight and i think he had to win this
There's the knockdown! c'mon berto

Geez, Soto Karras was the better fighter that round despite the knockdown. I guess that's an even round.

Meh stoppage. Should have given the full 8 count before making a decision imo.
Berto will still fight because as mu mentioned, he's an entertaining fighter.

Either way that was a great knockout though. Poor Thurman gonna be pissed he doesn't get knock out of night now.

good for jsk
i guess that would be the guy berto needs to emulate
like 8 losses and still gets solid fights
that's the thing about the welterweight division...so many entertaining fights can be made

How could you not be after that kind of luck? Busting your shoulder in a fight that will likely make-or-break you is just sad.

Poor Berto. I've never really seen a boxer this upset.

ya that was non-stop action. thought it was going to be over within 3-4 rounds, then i wanted arakawa's corner to stop it, then i was so glad they didn't.
through 3 rounds of berto/jsk, and this is one of the best show/hbo events i can recall seeing. truly living up to it's 'k.o. kings 2' title.

oh jeez, what an ending.
question: why didnt berto's trainer have him jabbing/running throughout the fight after it was painfully obvious berto couldn't use his right hand?
it clearly would not be easy with soto karass walking him down for long stretches, but i think it would've been better overall for berto. there was no sliding to the right/left, walking out of exchanges or circling of jsk going on. berto was basically stationary (and even walking in to jsk!) taking tons of punishment.
idk. the beating andre took would've been much less. and should have been for a fight he definitely was not winning with one hand. am i wrong to think about it like this?
eta: i felt so bad for berto when he was wanting to throw that right and had to pull it back immediately because he couldn't fully extend.
