Well that settles it, not knowing if you'd buy the PPV was keeping the fight from happening. Game on now.

PBF dodges the best fighters and cherry picks his opponents. At least Manny takes on big challenges and pleases the fans.
I agree with you about Pac being fearless, but I think you have to give PBF more credit for his opposition at 135 and under. One example is JLC, he gave PBF problems. IMO, it looked like PBF should have lost the first JLC fight. It was pretty sad seeing JLC fighting for money last night.

About the UFC/boxing crossover potential, I heard Kermit Cintron was a wrestler in college. He's a B level boxer with great power. He's one guy that I would like to see in an MMA fight. I have the feeling that he makes way more money boxing than he could in MMA.

That fight was the poker version of scared money.

The ref could've stopped it after three, the outcome was never changing.

Paul Williams "Stop giving this clown and disgrace positive feedback. He stole our money. This wasn't a event but highway robbery. Maybe Clottey doesn't understand this is boxing, not hide and seek. Complete shame to the continent of Africa. He had a chance against Margarito but was scared to throw. Gave away the Cotto fight due to work rate. He cowardly ducked me and now was beaten by 5'5 Midget,

You are a shame to the people of Africa. You are not elite. You are nothing more than a glorified Top Rank Bum

Quit boxing and go back to farming in Africa. Maybe you will be productive there, coward"

Wow lol

i'm glad manny has kept asking to fight Floyd and he doesn't dodge anyone but the floyd fans are acting like Manny is a dodger.

yeah, manny is probably one of the least-ducking fighters in boxing history. Floyd's last three fights have been two guys much smaller than him and ODLH who was old. Manny's gone up in weight for his last 5 fights, moving from 130 to 135 to fight Diaz, then 147 to fight ODLH (a massive jump for a guy with one career fight above 130), then 140 to fight Hatton, then 147 to fight Cotto and Clottey.

He takes on all comers. Floyd just won't come.

Re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

I'm hoping Mayweather-Mosley will be much more interesting.

I think Pacman has an election in the Philippines this May. What will happen should Floyd not win? He's really the only person left Manny has any reason to fight. I think Mosley-Pacquiao would be really entertaining, but would that happen?

Ew.

Anyone who puts the blame solely on one fighter for this fight not materializing is not looking at this objectively. Reverse the blood testing demands and Floyd's the pussy for not wanting to take the needle.

Manny's just as guilty and stupid for turning down a $30m payday because he "feels weak" days after giving blood as Floyd is for making it a point of contention in the first place.

And this doesn't even touch on the fact that Floyd was willing to sign a deal giving Manny $10m for every pound he went over the weight limit which is above and beyond what the NSAC demands.

If Mosley wins, I think this fight is a lock to happen. Mosley wants to fight Pac badly and won't demand blood tests, and Pac said he'll fight him.

Agree 100%. I've made this point a bunch of times but the blind Pac fanboism is just too much. It makes smart people look foolish.

i think you're reading into my quip a little too much. I place more of the blame on Mayweather, but I don't think it's 100%. Certainly more on PBF than Pac though.

Fine, but you can't reverse the demands because that's not how it happened. Pac's camp wasn't making comical steroid allegations.

In any case, Mayweather left the sport under his own volition and he shouldn't be surprised that there's a new boss in town upon his return. Pacquiao's star power is basically the only thing that's kept boxing relevant over the last couple of years and because of that, he deserves more leeway than PBF. Mayweather is no longer in the driver's seat when it comes to whose terms they fight on and that's his own damn fault.

Both camps deserve a degree of blame, I agree...but suggesting it's equal parts is just ridiculous.

lol, not exactly difficult to propose soemthing like this when you're pretty sure the fight won't happen anyways.

who was making ridiculous demands that noone ever makes in any fight?

who has a history of dodging big fights and who has a history of fighting anyone in his way?

Aha, I thought this was the other way around. Hmm.

Well then, that makes my comment on that point completely invalid.
