Looks like Donaire vs. Rigo for April. Super awesome!

Also read Donaire wants Darchinyan later this year. That would be the most pathetic fight i could imagine in years. It's like Pac saying he really want Hatton next.

Looks like I was wrong, thought I saw it opened up so big but betfair has it as almost a pickem with salido a slight underdog..that makes more sense to me

I have been waiting for tonight for MONTHS!! Is it finally, actually January 19th?! These are the kind of cards I get excited about - action fighters from top to bottom, great young talent, and compelling storylines. Tonight is the beginning of a huge year for boxing. I couldn't be more amped.

I have:
Martinez UD (+120)
GGG KO5 (-2500, not actually firing on this)
Salido KO9 (+160)

Also worth pointing out I suppose that one of the main fighters in the NBC sports network card main event killed a man in a boxing match a couple years ago..so there is that. Sergey Kolavev. As bad as it sounds that kind of stuff always interests me psychologically

man wtf just happened?

i watched it w/o sound, so i didnt have any bias wrt announcers calls, and had it 9 rounds to 3 in favor of burgos.

Wow that was awful. Why do I watch this trash anymore?

Just when I think judging couldn't be more terrible I get proven wrong again.

I mean it was just so predictable cuz a few of the rounds were close. I am watching it on a stream so not that easy to judge but I just knew one of the judges would give a draw or 7-5 rocky..I had it 8-4 burgos but they just always do it. Just so tiltiing. OFC one judge gives 8-4 Rocky somehow (LOLLLL) and another a draw..so dumb

turned sound on after the final round, heard max call out some judge for being wrong before, and that same judge blew it again. just so happened max was wrong about his previous gaff.

keeping the sound on this time, need to hear gennady's power!!

Golovkin sure is scary. Someone has said he looks like JCC (senior obviously) and that is quite accurate.

I would pick him to beat Martinez. So much pressure, so effortless. Crazy power. Probably the best middleweight since B-hop.

Mikey Garcia. What a performance. Hope we can see him vs. Donaire someday.

Golovkin is amazing. I'm just absolutely nailed onto the bandwagon.

Watching the fight last night I was thinking, this doesn't look like the same spectacular monster middleweight Golovkin I saw in his previous fight. I mean, he looked good enough and in complete control of the fight. Just not as awesome as I expected. I thought Martinez could maybe handle what I was seeing. Then they revealed that he was so sick as to be bedridden two days before the fight.

So, what we saw last night was a Golovkin fighting (probably) with the flu! I thought he sounded almost apologetic for his performance in the post fight interview - although his english is so bad he could have been talking about the next NASA mission to Mars. I guess his mother heard he'd been sick so they showed him in his dressing room talking to her on the phone (translated) assuring her he was ok.

Martinez - Golovkin would be a great fight. Chavez jr - Golovkin would be a cool fight. I'd be suprised if either one happens. Maybe Ward will fight him. Golovkin has said he'd be willing.

No, it was Haye, froch, Khan, Agogo, Nelson all sat round a table talking boxing.

I thought it was good but towards the end Froch got on my tits keep interupting everyone and stealing the limelight. Whatever question was asked he had a better story/answer.

TR from the Mattysse-Dallas Jr. card last night on Showtime! Great fights last night at The Joint at The Hard Rock in Vegas. Action fight after action fight and some highlight-reel KOs in a wonderful fight venue.

The Joint only holds 4,000 and it wasn't quite full, so it was very intimate considering the star power. Got to talk and/or take pictures with Shane Mosley, Paulie Malignaggi, Brian Kenny, Al Bernstein. Zab Judah was there as well.

Joshua Williams of Rhode Island, who was KOd by Jermall Charlo, hung out with us on the casino floor after his fight. His face was beat to hell, but he was a totally nice guy. Also watched a fight from the bar with Ben Ankrah and his trainer, both of Ghana. Ankrah was also stopped in his fight, but was also in good spirits and it was really fun watching a fight with those guys.

The Charlo twins are really impressive. These two are polished, technically sound, dangerous fighters. They both won their fights in dominating fashion. Keep an eye out for the two of them, they'll be making noise at 154-160 in the near future.

The Joint not only allowed for unlimited in-out privileges and let its patrons bring in drinks, but they even provided plastic cups at the door for your BYOB. So we passed on the $12 beers and drank some import beer - imported Bud Light from the CVS on the corner!

By the time Aydin and Soto Karass touched up, the crowd was jacked and real loud. We were completely sauced, yelling "So-TO! So-TO!" as loud as we could. Sat with some knowledgable fight fans and fun people.

Obviously would have been nice if the main event lasted a little longer, but no complaints from last night. Amazing venue, great crowd, beautiful babies, and leather, leather, leather. Can't wait for the next card.

Yea thanks! I am a pretty avid fan but still have never been to one live. I will probably have to drive down to some C list card at an indian casino in oklahoma at some point. I don't really think you can understand a sport that well unless you have participated in it consistently (I have never boxed) but going to a live fight should be pretty entertaining and help a little bit at seeing a different view

currently rewatching the Salido/Garcia fight since my stream went out in the middle. Man this is one sided as hell. Garcia is the real ****in deal for sure. Ward not bad at all as an announcer either. Those Salido-Lopez fights were a couple of my favorites so this is just sad for me.
