There are only two reasons that Manny could have refused the drug tests:

A. He uses banned substances

B. He's an irrational superstitious moron.

Either way, there needs to be some blame on him for the fight not happening. I think it's clear that Floyd doesn't really want to fight him, but I think he was willing to for the money. He just wanted to mess with Manny's head a little bit. They're both to blame. I hate irrational morons as much as I hate bitches, so I hope they both lose their next fight.

No, if you have showtime in the US you'll have it on cable.

Otherwise, you'll have to find a stream. This is what I'm going to have to do.

At 26-0 26KO's, Valero's got a lot of hype. He always leaves himself so open though.

lol. Or he doesn't feel the need to submit to excessive and ridiculous tests mandated by someone else?

How is a blood test before the fight ridiculous and excessive?

If Floyd wanted Olympic-style drug testing before his fights, he should've kept his amateur status.

Brilliant plan, really; dude clearly doesn't want to fight, so his camp brings up steroid allegations in an attempt to trash Pacquiao's name. "Well if you've got nothing to hide like me, let's do unprecedented testing for prizefighting." Pacquiao refuses. LDO most logical conclusion is Pac must behiding something. Mayweather vindicated for not fighting the best man available.

Sad, sad episode. And no, I don't think the blame is equally shared, because Pac doesn't have a reputation of ducking challenges, unlike someone else we know.

How sad is it that ****ing amateurs have to submit to better testing than professionals being paid millions for their time and effort? Maybe Mayweather's was pushing it too far, but the testing that the state commissions currently use is clearly a joke (no blood tests??? Aren't HGH, and other PEDs, completely undetectable with urine tests?). Pacquiao's stance sounds alot like MLB players argument as to why baseball shouldn't have had PED testing. Think Untouchable pretty much nailed it.

Why would you duck a challenge when you know you got the Juice? I keed, I keed.

And lol for focusing all the hate on Mayweather for wanting to be sure he is not fighting a roided out freak, as if risking a ~20% chance that he would be getting repeatedly punched in the face by a juicer is no big deal. He is not signing up for no Jersey Shore ****.

Because its a supernormal amount of testing that has never been asked for... ever.

Some people actually do things and enjoy having predefined rules. Why don't they just schedule a match with lead weights in their wraps since if the other guy has to do it its fine, right?

Do any of you people who talk about HGH even realize what stuff does? You'd be far better off just pumping more of your own blood into yourself on fight night and running basic steroids + masking/cleansing agent that isn't being tested for.

Furthermore, the Olympics are the most drugged out competition short of pure strength sports. There is no real advantage to having testing at that level except for the fact that you can't take the most ridiculous of drugs and now have to show a cursory bit of intelligence and hire a doctor. The problem lies in people thinking that Olympic level testing will ensure purity of sport, whereas we're talking about from the goal line to the 1 yard line.

Fight was awesome despite being one-sided. Valero is a beast fighting through that gash on his head.

re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

i am a little biased, but I'd put like 95% of the blame on Mayweather here.

Ultimately, Manny agreed to a 24 day window, and then immediately after the fight. There's no steriod or agent in the world that I know of that can be used in a large enough amount to be effective, and also completely disappear from the system in 24 days. Floyd not accepting that is just a ***** move, since it is already FAR and above any other testing regimen in boxing history, basically. And Floyd is the fighter who continually bitches out of fights, not Manny, who continually seeks out the biggest fights.

There are two different sorts of agents as well. Those that improve performance the night of the fight (EPO) and those that will improve your ability to handle heavier training volumes (steroids). There is a litany of masking agents, etc etc etc that can be used along with lol therapeutic waivers to get access to drugs under Oly testing. The idea that someone takes a gross amount of steroids and comes and punches your face in is loltarded at best.

More reasonable is that he borrows Lance Armstrong's cookbook and outworks you with superhuman cardio.

I think 95% is ridiculous and that most people here love Manny and are biased. I don't really have any personal investment in either fighter and would probably place the blame like 65-35.

What other fights has Floyd continually bitched out of? He's fighting Mosely isn't he? He ducked Margarito, but the money wasn't great and Margarito ended up being a cheater. He would have fought Cotto if Cotto won that fight imo.

Btw, I don't think there is legit huge concern that Manny is using a banned substance. It was obviously a mind game, but Manny still could have just put up with it. It wouldn't have harmed him in any way. If he really wanted the fight and $30 million, what was the big deal?

Question: why did you selectively quote and ignore the actual meat of my argument?

Manny agreed to 24 days out and immediately post fight. There's no drug in the world that can clear the system that fast and actually make a difference being used for such a short time. Manny basically already agreed to something that is far and beyond any testing regiment in boxing history. If Floyd couldn't accept that, he's just being a *****.

Oh, and as far as Floyd ducking people. He's ducking Manny right now. He ducked Margarito. He chose to fight two smaller fighters in his last two fights, Hatton and JMM, who basically had zero chance to beat him instead of challenging a legit WW like Mosley. The last couple of years have been nothing but Floyd continually finding ways not to fight the best. Even this fight with Mosley is only because he bitched out of the Pac fight.

Glad to see others enjoyed the fight. Sat night made me a believer. I was amazed at his defense. He was slipping punches quite well. Def hittable, but he does have an ability to avoid punches. I think his power is not as good as it was at 130 and under, but he beats down his opponent. Reminds me of Cotto. I wonder if someone like Juan Manuel Marquez would be too much, or a very good fight.

I look forward to catching every fight he's in to see if he can continue his streak.

This is becoming the unofficial boxing thread, lol.

I just saw the Johnson/Mack and Rigondeaux/Landeros fights from Friday.

Glad Johnson won and I'm hoping they don't feed anymore tomato cans to Rigondeaux. I think he may win a world title this year.
