lol khan whining about hometown decisions. Dont take the fight in his hometown then you knob.

I have no idea who won that fight, def could have went either way. Don't have a problem with the decision, though I don't really think those were point deductible offences. I could be totally wrong but doesn't Mayweather push off like that every single fight?

De La Hoya going mental at ringside was hilarious. I hate it that everytime Khan gets hit clean he has to do that stupid "I'm not hurt" face. He even did it after the first knockdown against Prescott.

The loss was bad news for Mayweather I guess, one fewer high profile opponent, at least in the immediate future.

but who would be left to bash mayweather? Kellerman is a bit too rational for that job.

So you have to be irrational to criticise Mayweather?
Merchant and Kellerman both awful imo.

Question 1: How did you see the fight?

Question 2: Did he ever hurt you?

Question 3: Would you want a rematch/Who do you want to face next

throw in some confused pauses while staring directly into the camera and you've got a Kellerman interview

I still like him though for some reason.

kellerman is honest without being douchey. thats enough for me. it's not like hes got a lot of competition there at hbo.

lampley is a borderline insane hypeguy, merchant is senile, lederman incoherent (JIM!), steward for all his success in the sport seem rather clueless at times and often just repeat the same cliches over and over.
Roy is ok i guess.

My favorite broadcast team? Hbo obviously. They feel like family.

Someone should hire Mike Tyson as a broadcaster though. People assume hes an idiot and a brute, but hes one of the most knowledgeable boxing historians i know of. Hes got a very deep understanding on the sport and it's history, and hes very very passionate about it.

Anyone watch this fight? I'm a huge amir khan fan and was just wondering others thoughts on the fight? I was pretty pissed with the outcome. Thought the ref sucked massively and felt like he was trying to help out peterson the whole fight. Also the scorecards were so different. How can one judge score 115-110 and the other 2 score it as a 1pt win for the other fighter that lost on the 115-110 card??? Just disgusted with the judges+ref and makes me really question boxing as a whole. I mean i guess i can't argue the fact that peterson took the fight to amir late and landed a higher % of punches but still I think total punches thrown> punches landed (esp when you land more punches just due to the fact you are throwing a lot more than your opponent even tho your % landed is lower)

I love boxing but lately a lot of decisions have been controversial. I mean scoring a boxing match should be really easy imo and nothing a normal person couldn't do as long as they are not biased toward one side.

This is actually very common and understandable. Let's say that in a fight boxer A wins 4 clear rounds and boxer B also wins 4 clear rounds with the other 4 being close and debatable. The scores could range from 116-112 for A to 116-112 for B.

In this case however 115-110 for Khan seems wrong, it means that the judge felt Khan won 9 rounds. I'm pretty sure Peterson clearly won more than 3 rounds. I haven't re-watched it yet though.

It would be amazing to hear Tyson do expert commentary.

Khan is fast, but he looks like he's on his bike when he moves in the ring.

It didn't appear to me that Khan won 9 rounds. I thought it was much closer than that. Scoring is more art than science. It's definitely not black or white.

I like Tyson but a lot of the time it is a bit of a struggle to understand what he's saying.

Speaking of which, did anyone hear Freddie Roach in the Epix broadcast of Helenius-Chisora? I haven't seen it.

It would be funny to watch Tyson with captions. I'm some of what he says will be typed out wrong.

yea i mean its very plausible that khan didn't win 9 rounds. But still the pushing pt penalties were ****** horrible and a joke. Its not like hes throwing an elbow or low blow. Also look at both boxers faces at the end of the fight. IMO that alone shows me that khan won the fight (Even tho peterson did a great job going to the body).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGcuzdm8viE

btw this fight above is a great example of how fcked up boxing is. this was even worse than the khan decision.

I thought about betting on khan at -1400.... thank god i didn't bc i prolly would have blown my whole sports roll to win very little. Boxing def is the worst sport to bet on imo.

I think Khan wins a hard fought decision this time. It won't be pretty but it will be clear.

Watched it a few more times since I watched it live on Sat,thoughts below......

From the start it was bad ,the ref was inexperienced. Why would you get a ref like that to do such a big fight.........The referee was bad because of what he didn't do, not because of what he did ,so many have got it wrong.........Lamont was fouling to ,he should of been pulled up on that, the fouls Khan did where fouls and points should of been taken away.......one judge gave it to Khan 115-110 with 2 points taken of ,not one Khan fan would agree with that ,that is lol.......all of the above aside ,Khan lost the fight fair and square...Lamont was just to busy and to much........Khan is a much better boxer ,but he didn't use it ,he went back to some of his old ways and tried to prove a point...........if he gets a rematch he will win for sure

On a side note I have been waiting all year for this Saturdays fight ,CAN'T WAIT......
