Calzaghe and Hatton are both could examples actually. Imagine how big a fight between Hatton and Khan in the UK would have been. I suppose Calzaghe didn't have a huge fight out there at the time he retired but he certainly would if he fought again now.

the hbo broadcast, which i viewed afterwards is some horrible ****. Lampley would be the worst of the bunch how he tries to damage control the entire second half and after the fight as well.

Mostly annoyed with steward. He should have the balls to speak up rather than say he don't have an opinion on the outcome.

Kellerman was ok in my books. Mostly unbiased.

I heard the UK broadcast was the same, but in opposite direction which is obviously equally bad.

I was stuck with a Mexican telecast so you can imagine what the comments were.

You could tell he had a problem with the rest of the team but he was too much of a pussy to actually speak up. There was a point where Steward was saying how much stronger Pac looked and then Kellerman jumped in with the age difference but was cut off straight away.

I much prefer the showtime commentary team to HBO. Al Bernstein is pretty much the only boxing commentator I actually enjoy listening to.

Jim Lampley gets too emotional, Max Kellerman thinks he's a lot more clever than he actually is and Larry Merchant is just too old. I am also fed up of hearing about how every fight goes exactly the way Emanuel Steward thought it would go. Having said that, I would much prefer listening to HBO rather than Benny Riccardo and Amir Khan like I had to on Saturday.

im the definition of a casual boxing fan but i dont get the kellerman hate...he seems far superior to his colleagues and generally pretty knowledgeable/unbiased

by far the biggest problem with combat sports, moreso boxing than mma , is that as a casual fan some fights are very hard for me to judge and tons of fights i watch i really dont know who is winning and alot of my perception depends on the announcers and what they talk about. I suspect this problem is pretty big since not that many people in the states follow boxing too closely

According to Dan Rafael, Top Rank has told Floyd and Golden Boy that they will pursue a fourth fight with JMM. LOL Arum!!

I have given up all hope and finally believe that Floyd/Pac will NEVER happen. Or will happen when they are both old and way out of their prime. I am not even that excited for it anymore. They blew it.

If that happens, I'm officially off the Pacquiao bandwagon for good. That's ridiculous.

And I don't feel bad for JMM either, whatever. This is just a joke.

it is true.

Bob Arum said they will target another fight with jmm in april or june, and that the floyd mayweather fight is still there a year from now.

Golden boy had scheduled negotiations with top rank, but received news from the third party mediator that top rank is no longer interested.

**** the fans i guess.
together with last weeks bull**** from arum about not wanting to fight mayweather due to it jeopardizing mannys political career, have me sick to my stomach.

1) marquez stepped on mannys foot

2) Gato-urine consumption

Keith Kizer of NSAC
"Marquez was using water and Pedialyte between rounds. They have to get the fluids approved prior to the bout and be in factory sealed containers at the arena for our inspectors. Our people check it and if it is some kind of drink they have never heard of they will look at the ingredients, if need be they will grab one of our ringside doctors. Once they check it in if the corner wants to put it in a squeeze bottle or something then the inspector will observe that"

It will probably happen when one of them can no longer earn around $20 million per fight.

but then it will be about something else. a loss hurting mannys run for president or floyd being in prison.

and besides, they will keep being a draw and bank 20million for as long as they want to while winning. So at the point when they can't do that, who the **** cares about this fight?

as i said. with roach wanting a fall fight for khan rather than pac, and with this spring being jmm vs pac i think it won't ever happen.
I will seriously root for jmm and khan. At least they fight anyone pretty much.

used to hate khan but i'm coming around. Hes quite entertaining to look at, and hes punking that POS bradley to no end.

plus he had the balls to actually say he thought marquez won. Not a lot of people would do that when it involves a friend/sparring partner

I hate them both but I will support Khan because I've already had the pleasure of seeing him lose. But yes a double KO would be sweet (as it would be in any fight lol)

Also lol at Khan calling for Pacquiao to retire, he's probably jealous of all the attention Roach gives Pacquiao.

@AmirKingKhan
Just watched the Pacquiao vs Marquez fight again and looks like Pacquiao did win the fight by 1 or 2 rounds

Maybe he got a call from Freddie/Manny?

lol.. yeah whatever.

was kind of shocked at his comments during the fight, and he kept saying marquez won by two rounds in several interviews and on twitter.

I guess he got a phonecall indeed.

@AmirKingKhan Amir Khan
The Paquiao Marquez fight reminded me allot about our sparring sessions together

Saw on ESPN bottom line that Arum had come out and denied he, his company, or a third party ever made this statement to Floyd's camp. Working on finding the link.
