Berto
Martinez
Alvarez
Ortiz
Morales

I think Khan would have been a lock if he = ready for a ww fight. Now hes taking another 140 fight ( a good one fwiw ) so I'm not sure if hes actually the most likely. But meh, I'll put him there.

Pac, all comes down to arum / mayweathers team and how much they wan't the fight. I'm just not convinced.

Berto may be the most likely actually. I think most people including haymon have given up on him being some superstar, and decides hes good enough to sacrifice while still keeping him to bleed hbo budget dry.
If he rematch ortiz and beats him, hes a frontrunner for this fight imo. If not, maybe still is.

All the rest i see as relatively unlikely, and in some cases just plain out unrealistic.
I'm easily fooled, but i think a martinez fight is not outside the realm of possibility.
A rematch with Ortiz won't happen. It wasn't a superbad idea, but then it should have been scheduled already.
Erik Morales. Lol. I actually can't for my life figure out how anyone of you could actually buy that to even be a possibility. It's just absurd.
Alvarez.. Potentially a cool fight, but i don't think hes on floyds radar just yet.

Pacs potential fights after jmm and how likely i think they are to happen;

Bradley (easily #1. This fight is almost a lock)

Cotto/Marg winner (if cotto wins i could see it, unfortunately. Better believe 150 is acceptable all of a sudden ... again)

Mayweather (could happen, but fool me once...)

Jones (mike jones is far from ready but arum has been talking a lot about him)
B

Brandon Rioz (one of the names Arum threw out this week. Cool fight i guess, but it can't be above 140)

Gamboa (supercool fight... At 130. Or if Gamboa can start to climb the weightladder, But Bob Arum mentioned it.)

Also, this short promo has me pumped. Coolest fight of the year by far.

Re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

I would actually quite like to see Mayweather - Khan, and other than Pac or Martinez I would give him the best chance of beating him. I'm not convinced Khan wants it though. It's funny how Mayweather keeps talking about fighting Khan at Wembley stadium when you can pretty much guarantee that every one of his fights is going to be at the MGM Grand, a good way of getting in name in the UK papers though I suppose.

Does any one have an itinerary of Floyd's upcoming court cases? when is the big one?

It's hard to make someone a superstar when only about 10 people watch his fights. I don't know what it is but no one seems to care about African-American fighters anymore. Hardly anyone paid to watch Hopkins-Dawson, Bradley-Alexander was a huge dud. I would hate to see Berto fight Mayweather, I thought he was massively overrated before he even lost to Ortiz.

he put in an appearance for a local gym here and helped them raise much needed funds, one of the good guys.

The coverage of Frazier's death has been a lot greater than I thought it would be. Can you imagine what will happen when Muhammad Ali dies??

The end of this video says it all ,those fights where like something out of a Rocky movie.Don't get many like that nowadays ,at Heavyweight you get none.

People like Joe are gone ,but will never be forgotten.

"The world has lost a great Champion. I will always remember Joe with respect and admiration. My sympathy goes out to his family and loved ones." --Muhammad Ali

Frazier amazed because he was so small. The taller fighters would hit him 2 couple times for free while he worked his way in. He's like a Rudy Rutiger who was actually good. I wish him well.

Re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

this reaffirms my belief that Bob Arum is the main roadblock for this fight happening.

His coach Freddie Roach, who's a pure boxing guy, still thinks in those terms which is great and it makes them effective in their job but I really don't. I'm trying to weigh everything he does in his boxing career on how it will relate to the ultimate goal of being president. One of the reasons I never really was so keen on a Mayweather fight which I now truly believe is an easy fight for Pacquiao is because how Manny is going to be tainted by some of the vile things that Mayweather comes out with. Even though he'll be the good guy, God knows what Mayweather is capable of saying. It's one thing to talk about how much better a fighter he is and Manny can't do this or that, but Mayweather, who has no sensibility in this, is capable of insulting the country. The ignorance is so appalling.

It just won't happen i guess.

I think Floyd Sr should have taken Jr's advice: "protect yourself at all times"

Yeah as much as I love seeing a Mayweather get smacked around, there's no need to sucker punch anyone.

RIP, Joe. Gold Medalist, 1964. World Champion, 1968-1973. No braver, tougher man ever stepped into the ring. Never was a more honorable man treated more shabbily. In a just world, the first Frazier-Ali fight would be replayed as often as the third fight.
