1st round of Angulo-Kirkland has got to be candidate for round of the year. Crazy how Angulo stayed up the rest of the fight with all those huge shots. Definitely a good stopage imo. Angulo looked like he needed hospital at the end. I could almost feel the swollen brain inside his multiply concussed head. Kirkland should get a shot at Canelo Alvarez. Or even Martinez if he can move up. But if the stars are afraid of him I can't see people complaining about an Angulo-Kirland II. What a fight!

I though Bute looked about as good as anybody can against Johnson. Bute vs the Froch-Ward winner should be good if it happens. I don't see why it wouldn't. Where else do they have to go? Johnson really showed his age by his comments after the fight. When you get to the point where you don't even notice getting hammered anymore it might be about time to hang em up.

Strange stoppage in the McEwan-Quillin fight. I'd seen about enough of McEwan by then though. McEwan just didn't look like the same guy that fought Andy Lee till he ran out of gas. He looked gassed from the get go last night. Quillin looked ok but hard to tell what he's got from last night. I got the feeling he might look cloggy against a better opponent.

The Bute-Johnson undercard with the 27 year old, now 19-0 w 13 KO's junior welterweight, Pier-Olivier Cote was something to see. Cote is being compared to a small Mike Tyson. He shattered his opponent's jaw in his fight before this one. He needs to step up in class soon. He is definitely a guy worth watching.

Eric Gomez, from GBP, confirms that Mayweather has been in talks to fight Erik Morales on May 5th.

just like when matthew hatton confirmed he was fighting floyd.

I mean, we should be used to this by now. It's all smokescreens, skewed reports and plain ******ation.

Obviously it won't actually happen. I wouldn't be 100% surprised if mayweathers team threw out some bait for GBP/Morales but it for sure will not happen.

I can see it happening.

Easy fight for Floyd against a big name so presumably it would do better than the Ortiz fight. Of course he would get loads of crap from the boxing media for it but it hasn't bothered him before.

I'm sure Morales wouldn't mind getting beaten up for a career high pay-day. Most people consider him half-shot anyway so it won't negatively impact his legacy.

No way Mayweather fights Morales right? According to Mayweather fans, Manny is the one who fights his sloppy seconds, just look at him fighting Marquez!

hopefully wrong about frazier.. haven't seen any news about him being dead.

no mayweather won't fight morales, give me a break.

also rofl at calling marquez sloppy seconds, not to mention floyds sloppy seconds.
marquez is really good.... at lightweight and below.

Frazier is not dead yet - it was just a twitter rumour, he's as good as dead though.

Possible names for Mayweather's next fight, how would you rank them in terms of which is more likely:

Manny Pacquiao
Sergio Martinez
Saul Alvarez
Erik Morales
Victor Ortiz
Andre Berto
Amir Khan

I believe its now or never(as in 2012) for a Pac fight.

Pac
Khan
Morales

These are the only ones that have a legitimate shot at happening. No way Floyd fights Martinez hes too big for Floyd to agree. Alvarez is too young and green. Ortiz already lost and no one wants to see it again. Berto is also with Al Haymon and I seriously doubt Floyd would be interested in that.
