Just saw it scroll across bottom of ESPN that Joe Frazier is "deathly ill" with liver cancer.

Yeah, just saw this on ESPN.com. Doesn't sound good at all, currently in hospice care, sounds like they've tried almost all conventional treatments but haven't given up yet.

I'm pretty shaken, Joe will definitely deserve his own thread whenever the time comes.

Mayweather is a narcissicistically insane, pathetic coward, completely cut off from anything approaching reality. Even if he wanted to fight Paq, which he doesn't, his myriad legal issues make it problematic at best at this juncture.

It will never happen, tho I s'pose they could do something when they're both in their late 40s and nobody cares. Madness, with both guys guaranteed at least $50 million.

****ing boxing.

too bad frazier is sick. Really hope he somehow recovers.

he was a real man.. truly old school. Hes a strong contrast compared to Pac and mayweather for sure.

I think old man Johnson is gonna expose that fraud Bute. Lucian will win by fairly crappy decision but his stock will drop undoubtedly.

or he gets the decision by winning arguably every round

pretty easy fight so far for Bute. Johnson can either go for it or try to coast to a one-sided loss. 3 rds to go.

Was never going to happen, guy has not been stopped for close to 15 years (I think)

But there was always going to be one winner only tonight ,these guys have sparred well over 100 rounds ,not sure why everyone was saying it was going to be a good fight. They know each other inside out,it was always going to be a easy win on points for Bute

Fwiw hospice basically equals pain control until the disease kills the patient. Most ppl in hospice only have days to weeks left

Good for Kirkland, he showed some good skills! Made up for the Johnson-Bute stinker. First round was incredible. I can't believe Angulo was spent by the end of the first. I'll be downloading this one to rewatch.

This is the type of matchmaking that boxing needs to make consistently.

Hearing Frazier is in hospice care makes me really sad.

Kirkland/Angulo was AWESOME.

I thought Kirkland was done in the first round. Ann Wolfe deserves a lot of credit, as well.
