Possible, but Glen's probably has a few tricks up his sleeve to make his aggression count against Froch. He knows how to do work in clinches.

Looks like Margarito suffered a detached retina in his loss to Pacquiao and his career may be over.

Re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

Instead of a Cotto-Margarito rematch, it looks like Cotto will now face Chavez jr, assuming jr. beats Sebastian Zbik for the WBC title. Cotto-Chavez would then take place at a catchweight of 155 lbs, which is 1 lb above light-middleweight, lol catchweights.

That's a fight I'd actually be interested in watching.

Re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

I agree. I'm guessing the fight would do very good numbers on PPV too. I suppose it doesn't really matter whether a middleweight title is on the line or not, we all know who the real champ is at that particular weight.

Re: roy jones jr vs denis lebedev

There's a really good boxing thread that this discussion is probably more appropriate for.

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/46...-v-pac-635071/

Ignore the OP, which was a Pac-PBF preview, but there are a bunch of really good boxing regs that post in there. We look foward to seeing you there!

I don't know anything about boxing and I haven't read any of the posts ITT. Also, I will never open this thread again after I post this.

Re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

Andre Ward looked good. It was dangerous for him early, especially when he pulled straight back . I think Froch beats Johnson without too much trouble, and ward vs froch will be a very exciting fight. Obviously i think ward wins but froch won't make it easy on him. I hated froch for his ego before but he has grown on me a lot. I would like to see him get more big fights in the future and i think win or lose this tournament he will. Also more of his girlfriend seconded.

Re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

it's kind of a turd but i don't know what else Pac is supposed to do at this point. He only weighs 145 max so going up another weight class seems like it would be suicide.

i guess pac just goes on hiatus and waits after this one.

Arum said the MGM Grand originally told him the Grand Garden Arena was only available on Nov. 5 because there were Eagles concerts booked there on Nov. 12 and Nov. 19.

"I told them, 'You knew we wanted Nov. 12,' " Arum said. "They said, no I didn't, whatever, we went back and forth. Anyway, I am good friends with the manager of the Eagles, Irving Azoff. I've know him for years. So I called him up and told him the issue and he called the band. An hour later, he called back and said no problem.

"He said the band wanted to send us a message -- 'Because we so admire Manny Pacquiao, we would be privileged to move our concert to Nov. 5.' We're going to invite the Eagles to the fight."
Well thank ****, the Eagles are on board. We can all rest easy now.

I might need to be paid to watch.
Now Braehmer has pulled out of the fight.

Even if they find a replacement there is no way they can keep this as a PPV show. It wasn't worthy of one before he pulled out.

Indeed, if they keep this on PPV they're taking the piss. They have been lucky that DeGale has been needling Groves, because otherwise it would have been as successful as Kahn's recent PPV fight.

It still is on PPV ,which I agree is a joke, the guy he is fighting now is a u.k boxer, big banger, never lost ,but has not fought any higher than domestic level.(Also the fight is still for the WBO,which is LOL)
