Re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

If Pac vs JMM 3 gets made, I'm pretty sure it will be @ 147. I think this means that the fight's less competitive, but oh well. If no Mayweather, then this is the fight I want to see, even @ 147. They're both going to come in around 145 anyways, lol. I'm pretty sure JMM will take the fight @ 147, if presented. @ 37, I imagine he's got to take advantage of the payday even if the odds are stacked against him. Pac is the man and JMM will be forced to play on Pac's rules.

If no Pac/JMM, I'll go for JMM against anyone except Pac (and Katsidis)

The attendance for Sat's fight at MGM was 4,920!?! Arum's got some good points about JMM's drawing power. The way this article went, Mosley's going to be the next Pac opponent. I hope not. Arum's basically admitting that he's taking the casual fan for suckers. Mosley vs Pac might do 1.2 - 1.5MM buys. I think a JMM vs Pac could do about the same as the Pac vs Margarito fight, maybe a little less ~1MM buys. Pac will take the lion's share in a fight vs JMM so that might make most business sense. Berto vs Pac might do about 700k, like Clottey. I know I know Berto, but does Joe on the street know him?

But Katsidis was so stubborn he continued to hold his ground even when he had no defense left but a blown out chin and a body that refused to go down.
Have you seen Katsidis vs Casamayor? Find a copy online and enjoy. That was an excellent one too. You'll see what Katsidis was able to give and take in that one too.

Yes he does make some good points. Which kinda bothers me. Because the casual boxing fan to real boxing fan ratio would increase and names and drawing power would increase across the board if the fights that should be getting made (we know what) would actually happen. That's a big light that would shine on more then just that one ring, imo.

For the sport I want PBF to get his legal **** sorted soon and man the **** up and fight Pac. Personally, I hope he does time and finds himself a penniless, regretful degenerate wishing he made better decisions when the world was his oyster.

Pac's gonna crush Mosley. Might not even watch it on an internet feed this time. **** needs to be on HBO, not PPV. I mean, Mosley had trouble against Sergio Mora for Christ's sake.

i'd love to see maidana catch khan clean. Maidana's saying that he's working on cutting off the ring to neutralize khan's speed. I hope his camp went well. War Maidana!

good wkend again. Showtime has the bantamweight tourney going on too. Hope mares crushes darchinyan.

I'm sorry, the Klitschkos are a joke. Not saying this injury isn't legitimate, but they're awful for that division.

If you think that the division is bad now, imagine what it would have been like without those two. Also, saying Vitali is a joke is kinda dumb really.
