Helluva fight, Wilder came prepared. If Wilder had worked that hard between every fight, he'd probably be the undisputed champ by now.

I mean, Wilder was wobbly coming out of the corner after breaks. How he stayed on his feet till 11 is crazy.

I don't know much about boxing. Is Joshua/Fury still the big match people want?

I did watch Joshua's last fight, and just don't see how he could beat Fury

Moronic but predictable of Wilder to fire his coach and demand to go out on his shield. Completely shameful and inexcusable for the new coach to allow it. Wilder was out on his feet for the last 5 rounds.

Yeah, but Usyk had to **** that up by being better than AJ.

Now, if he fights again, we'll likely get AJ/Wilder and Fury/Usyk for alllllll the belts.

Damn, I'm seriously concerned for Wilder after that fight. I've seen multiple fighters take similar punishment and end up dying

Unlike the last fight, I have a feeling that most coaches would've allowed this one to go until the end. I'd have to rewatch it, but that was my feeling live.

Last fight, I think almost any coach would've thrown in the towel at or before it was thrown in.

Doesn't mean that Wilder wasn't getting his head bashed in. But Joshua was clearly concussed for a majority of the Ruiz fight, but no trainer would've thrown a towel in during that one for the first handful of rounds. Boxing, HW in particular with glancing blows and powerful jabs, can be brutal.

This takes me back to when Fury was around 20/21 and I was sure that he was no great prospect. All he had was toughness and good cardio for a big guy. He then fought John McDermott and was clearly beaten on points, but big John got robbed (so bad they needed to have a rematch).

Yet here we are. I can't get my head around it!

AJ opts to exercise his rematch clause with Usyk.

So we'll get AJ/Usyk II.

Meanwhile, Fury and Wilder have obviously earned a break, but I'm curious as to where each go from here. Fury will obviously have a mandatory and might angle for a payday against a can, but Wilder/AJ is basically a perfect fight for Wilder, so it's a shame he won't get it.

noticeable that his twitchy head movement thing that seems to put all his opponents into a trance was not really there last night, might be a sign he's slowing down

i hope he goes out undefeated and no longer really care whether he fights AJ or not

Tyson Fury is the best heavyweight in boxing. Undisputed. And highly entertaining.

P4P lists are kinda dumb, but ranking Uysk ahead of Fury seems odd there.

If you want to make the case it's resume then obviously Usyk>>>Fury, but they're both HWs now, there's no real need to a p4p handicap. If Fury and Osyk fight, Fury is prob at least-150 (i think Fury actually struggles quite a bit with the smaller man but whatever). Fury is the best HW in the world right now until someone out points him or shuts out his lights.

Canelo pretty easily disposed of Plant. Plant made it competitive at times, but just didn't do enough to nick rounds after the first part of the fight and Canelo eventually caught him.

I'd guess that Canelo gets Charlo next, then GGG trilogy, then maybe Benavidez (or Beterbiev or Bivol) if they are still relevant.

Porter-Crawford is intriguing, but Porter is basically not even top 5 at 147, he's just an aggressive fighter/good name. Clearly lost to Spence (like 116-111 honestly), lost to Ugas before that (but got a favorable decision). He's solid for sure, but I've never seen so much buildup to such a mismatch in recent years. Crawford is like -700.

Hoping Porter comes out aggro and we get good action though. A decisive TC victory would put a lot of pressure on Spence to fight him next.

Such a fun ending. Porter's dad did the right thing, but man, calling his son's preparation out at the end there was pretty brutal.
