Jake Paul beats Mcgregor as often as Mcgregor beats Floyd. So never.

What's the highest ranking guy Tyson could beat these days? I mean after a few more fights and if he actually goes for the KO and doesn't smoke weed before (though that didn't stop him from almost killing Golota).

Tyson-Mayweather would be fun to watch.

Rematch with "Buster" Douglas imo( but exhibition match because the guy is old). A rematch with Kevin McBride or Danny Willians would be interesting too.

But my favorite fight for him would be a real boxing fight against Antonio "Pezao" Silva. That way we get to see vintage Tyson knocking someone's head off and against someone that is supposedly a legitimate fighter but not really.

Surprised at the lack of buzz on here for Martin Murray's 23rd world title attempt.

I think McGregor beats Paul inside of a round. I think Paul is somewhere in the middle of the pack club-fighter level. McGregor should be like solid C-level boxer, which is a big mismatch.

Can't have two *******s like that fighting each other though. We need Khabib vs McGregor and literally any pro boxer vs Paul, those are the results we want to see!

Anyone watching Spence Garcia? I think Spence edges it. I don't think crash impacts him, he wouldn't have taken this fight if so and it's been scheduled awhile. DG is a good, tough boxer though, so I'd guess something like 115-113 or 116-112. Spence is just a little more skillful of a boxer and has enough power to make DG respect him. Both are huge guys though, these guys can probably fight at MW without looking small.

Garcia actually had some effective counters in Rd1. Spence landed at will to the body

Prob 2-0 Spence* but Garcia looks solid. Probably ends 116-112 Spence but man I can see Garcia clipping him.

*judges, not me, I'm just enjoying this one.

It's so rare we get to say this. The judges got it exactly right.

I had it 8-4 or 7-5 Spence. He emptied the tank a bit too early and lost some rounds he didn't need to.

Was a bit more action packed than I thought, but turned more into the fight I thought it'd be, after Spence stopped being so aggressive.

I'm edging TC vs Spence, but that's on the top of my list for fights I'd like to see. I'm not sure I can actually think of a fight I'd like to see more right now.

Seems like Bud takes that like -200. Spence won't be able to rest behind his jab against someone like Bud, who's not only long but also more skilled than DG, and I don't think Bud will be put off by Spence's body shots.

I think I agree on -200 roughly, maybe a touch lower.

TC has been hurt and even dropped multiple times by lighter punchers. I think Spence's power is overrated a bit given how big he is (same with say Porter, an even lighter puncher and a 160+lb guy on fight night). But Spence hits as hard or harder than anyone TC has fought and he's slicker too. And Spence has quite a solid set of whiskers himself.

I'm edging TC bc of how fast he is, moving in and out and he'll be sharper on counters than DG was, but Spence has that other level too where he's willing to just get in there and trade.

Spence has improved since Kell Brook was probably slightly outboxing him (before his orbital failed again). That was a good win for Spence, but was kind of a blueprint for how to have success against him. Porter wasn't as close as people claimed, Spence did some great work vs Porter, that's not how you beat him.

Seems odd, but maybe Logan has a bigger social media following.

This was an undercard fight to the main fight between Tim Tszyu and Bowyn Morga (which btw was an easy affair for Tszyu) - was the fight of the night and worth watching the highlights

Immensely popular prospect Ryan Garcia fights today for the first time in nearly a year vs. Luke Campbell is what's by far the biggest test of his career. Estimated ringwalk time for the main even is 6 PM EST, a bit earlier than usual. Posted an analysis and prediction for the fight to my blog here: https://masterclassboxing.blogspot.c...-prefight.html

Not sure if this will interest anyone but former worlds strongest man Thor Bjornsson had a 4 round exhibition fight against NI boxer Steven Ward

Hes training for a 6 round ‘super HW fight’ In September vs another Worlds Strongest Man winner, Eddie Hall

The boxing begins at 22m
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WI1NfKc-EPI

Spoiler:
On the whole i think he did pretty well for someone completely new to the sport, obviously very slow and transparent but with sizeable height and reach advantage i expect him to beat Hall when the fight comes

Hall can be seen training here https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XxZQeWi9IKI

Not usually a fan of these exhibitions but at least these two are professional athletes

Still a lot of time between now and then. I'll be cheering for Eddie Hall.

Looks like Ryan Garcia is getting the Manny fight. Kind of surprising, but when you think about it, it totally makes sense. RG is a big name, can bring a lot of fans, especially ones that Manny may not always reach. And Manny is obviously still a great A-side name. They'll both get paid a lot of money.

I don't think RG has much of a chance, but Manny is getting older + has shown up out of shape before in recent years (Horn fight for instance). But I think his footwork, accuracy and just in general ring smarts are far too much for RG to overcome.

Should just build up RG's name even more, so long as he doesn't look like Algeri in there and go down a bunch of times.

I'd imagine it'll be contested somewhere below 147lbs, maybe 140 or 144? Maybe I'm wrong.

Jake Paul vs Ben Askren is set for April 17th. Jake Paul couldn't have found a UFC fighter that is worse at striking. I'm somewhat intrigued by this.

Haha, I'm actually intrigued too. He's a legitimate opponent, but yes, very specifically chosen for "biggest name/legitimate pro fighter yet lowest risk boxing" reasons.

Floyd vs the other Paul postponed, maybe cancelled (due to lack of interest I'd guess lol).

Plant Truax going about how you'd expect it to. I don't think Plant beats Canelo, but maybe 20% shot at it. He has the movement and hand speed, but he'll need a helluva chin because I think he'll get hit a lot as the fight wears on. Unsure he has enough to keep Canelo honest.
