Eubank won in a blowout but in all honesty I wasn't impressed. He's wild and not a particularly smart fighter. You'd think he would use the uppercut more given how DeGale was lunging in but he didn't really throw one with any intensity until the late rounds of the fight. The constant running in and not cutting off the ring was an issue.

Even his power wasn't as great as I thought. James isn't known for having a strong chin and yet he got clocked with an insane uppercut in the late rounds and it didn't even knock him down.

And I swear that DeGale's right shoulder was ****ed. I could see it on the screen. Given the way he fought, he probably carried that injury into the ring. The guy is absolutely washed. He needs to go home.

I would like to see the Joyce vs Usyk rematch. Usyk smoked him in the WSB. Would be interesting at Heavy

Washed war going on between Soto and Rios. 38 year old Soto been beating Rios up although Rios has landed plenty too. This is what I was hoping

Wide Soto decision for the upset. Scores were weird i thought it was close but good for him and this saves us from having to watch Rios again as a no hoper. Dude doesn’t have many brain cells to lose

This Dirrell Yildrim fight is surprisingly entertaining. Very close fight through 5 Yildrim really came to fight

Tbf to Eubank he's fighting at the wrong weight. Needs to step back down to middle.

Just watched a recording of fight on YT. That cut was in a really dangerous place. It was deep and right on the eyelid. Good decision to stop the fight because of it.

Fight was super-close during the first half but you could sense Yildirim gassing around 7th/8th round and that's when Dirrell began to take over. Very entertaining fight.

The judge who thought it was 98-92 Yildirim probably grades based on who walks forward most often rather than effective fighting because Dirrell did a great job of fighting off the ropes.

Matters little belt-wise. Dirrell is just keeping it warm for Eubank Jr. or Plant.

Been watching mostly ufc but Castano Lara has been competitive Castano looks like a fun tv fighter. Beat Errol Spence in the amateurs I think and is undefeated in the pros and should be in his physical prime right now. Haven’t watched him at all before I don’t think he’s elite but looks entertaining

Edit- 29 I thought he was a couple years younger but whatever

Split draw for Lara. Didn’t watch much seems like more people had it slightly to Lara on boxing twitter but judges don’t like him much. Interesting career for him his resume is up there with any Cubans in last decade plus but seems clear he’s past his best. Basically never been beat by more than a round in his whole career while being in with the best of the best. Props to him

I watched it and the Woodley fight back and forth. Thought a split draw was appropriate.

Lara did what Juan Manuel Marquez in the third Pacquiao fight did and coasted the last two rounds thinking that he already had it won and he paid for it.

Allegedly wilder brezeale gonna be a PPV. Kill and permaban me if I ever pay for that **** that’s so bad. Breazele is actually pretty entertaining for a HW but come on that’s Canelo Liam Smith level bad

That's still going to be more entertaining than Joshua-Miller.

Got some good matchups for the weekend

Shawn Porter vs. Yordenis Ugas - Both ranked in the top 10 by BoxRec though Ugas has losses against some pretty laughable competition. His only notable win is against Thomas Dulorme. Should basically be Porter chasing Ugas around the ring looking for the KO for 12 rounds but ultimately winning a wide unanimous decision.

Dmitry Bivol vs. Joe Smith Jr - This is the most entertaining fight to watch. Bivol looked like he was trying to get in some rounds against Chilemba and Pascal while Smith is working his way back from a broken jaw. Their lone common opponent is Sullivan Barrera. Barrera beat Smith by UD in a 10 round fight and got knocked out by Bivol in the 12th round of a fight where he won just one round. If Bivol opts to step on the gas then I'm calling a KO. If he decides to get a few rounds in, I expect a UD.

Heavyweight prospect Efe Ajagba will do what Sergey Kuzmin and Filip Hrgovic did recently: use Amir Mansour as a stepping stone to a greater challenge.

Robert Guerrero is fighting a guy with a record of 2-16-1 against opponents with winning records.

I don’t think Ugas Porter will be that wide Ugas has looked pretty good last few years. Gonna be ugly fight but I anticipate it being pretty competitive personally. We will see I could be wrong

I guess if Ugas can't outdance Porter for enough rounds, he could squeak by. Then again, people who fight like Erislandy Lara tend to get shafted on decisions, especially since Ugas is the B-side in this fight.

Porter was a couple pounds overweight apparently

Anyway Anthony Yarde fighting some American right now. Yarde looks freaking humongous lol don’t thinj I’ve actually seen him before. Guess he is supposed to be Kovalevs mandatory next or something. Seems like there should be more of a step up fight at some point before getting thrown in with Kovalev

Out of Yarde's 18 opponents, only 2 have a Wikipedia page.

Yarde's hungry but Kovalev is battle-tested. Yarde's has never gone beyond 7 rounds.

Porter weighed in at 146.8 pounds.

He had to shave his head to make weight.

I see a lot of Samson jokes coming if he loses this fight.

I’m getting overwhelmed with mediocre undercard fight content between 2 boxing cards and ufc Wichita lol. Need more tvs. Def want to watch smith bivol just because it’s fun to root for a guy like smith. If he loses tho(v likely) I hope bivol looks impressive I’m pretty bleh on him right now. Skills but hasn’t been very exciting

Are you kidding? Check out this KO on the Bivol-Smith UC

Dude looks like GGG. They're moving him fast having him fight against a 24-2 fighter in his second fight.

Young HW fighters looking promising. DuBois, Hrgovic, and Ajagba are looking good and are all under 29.

I missed that. Stopped paying for DAZN recently was just gonna find a stream for the main event

I did catch the Lithuanian guy on the porter undercard prelims he looked like a limited but really fun fighter with good pedigree

Ramos Santana is fun. Santana just upset Felix Diaz and Ramos has been in with some killers as b side they were supposed to roll over like Baranchyk and Prograis. Guess he lost to Jamal James too so we know his level. I remember his fight with Baranchyk was fun

Actually this fight is really garbage for 2nd fight on nationally televised Fox card but whatever it’s enterrajnjng
