Linares was doing all right against Loma early on. Card were actually a split draw going into the 10th round. Hi-Tech isn't invincible but Crolla doesn't have the tools to do anything against Loma.
This weekend got Eubank Jr fighting DeGale and Anthony Dirrell vs. Avni Yildirim. Pretty meh fights. Hype job vs. Burnt out boxer and Superior fighter vs. Some guy who got KTFO by Eubank.
Idk I’m pretty all in on teofimo. I would feel comfortable betting him v Loma if his odds were like +250 or worse. He’s clearly not fought anyone near Loma but I think he’s naturally much bigger and his team has been saying he’s moving up in weight in 2020 for sure so there isn’t a whole lot of time for him to have a couple step up fights unfortunately even tho that would be ideal. Just going with eye test here I think he would have a real shot ...obviously his resume is really crap so I’m probably getting way ahead of myself but goin with my gut that he will keep looking this good
They are obviously pushing Lopez hard into becoming a star on ESPN so I really doubt that fight will happen they prob don’t want to risk his zero as he could be a star eventually but I would love to see it. Sometimes you gotta go with your eye test and Teofimo is my favorite prospect in forever and I don’t think Loma is the generational talent at this weight personally just “merely” the best in the world lol. Belts aside I would have much rather seen Lopez take on Crolla in April than Loma Crolla that is just a boring ass fight with no drama. My dream scenario that seems semi plausible is that Regis Prograis wins the WBSS v Taylor then fights Jose Ramirez or Hooker winner (hoping they fight each other) in a big fight-wins- then we get a huge Prograis Teofimo fight at 140 in late 2020. Not sure the WBSS even finishes and unfortunately not sure how much Prograis stock would even rise considering lack of eyes for that tourney . Pretty sure Prograis is with Dibella I thought ESPN was pushing him for a while but his career has stalled some with this WBSS mess. I think Prograis and Lopez both eventually end up at 147 (Lopez prob not for quite some time)eventually hopefully by then we won’t have a bunch of PBC nonsense holding up big fights for them.
