This fight was a farce. Canelo just wants to call himself a 3 (4?) division champ even if it was won off of a nobody.

Hooray for not watching!

I got the fight for free. I was surprised about the little interest in here and then I lurked the boxing thread of the Liverpool forum and most of the comments before the fight were like “ well at least he will get a nice payday”, lol.

Mike lost a lot of weight. Good for him.

He's real. That's what you have to love about him.

Warrington Frampton and whyte Chisora starting pretty soon. Maybe I’m wrong but seems like these main events could overlap which seems dumb to do for two pretty big fights across the pond. Not sure I’ll be able to watch both

Warrington with big upset over Frampton good for him. I thought ref taking first point was fine Chisora was throwing low and borderline all fight I have no idea what the second point was about tho

Two great fights

whyte pushed down hard on derek's neck when they were in a clinch and derek threw an elbow up like hey knock that off. bit of handbags, wasn't worth a point

Lmao that Joshua whyte interaction was awkward as hell. Whyte sulking off like a little baby because Joshua rightfully pointed out no one gives a **** about that rematch compared to wilder or fury. Literally crying like a petulant child that was hilarious

If wilder and fury rematch immediately it’s fine otherwise wait till after Joshua fights the real contenders

Sucked to be back in America for this one.

Caught a YT feed of the fight. So low quality video for me. I had Chisora down 1 point going into the 11th and man what a shot that KO was.

You have to love Chisora. He's lacked the size, power, and speed to be a champion but the guy is never in a boring match because of his relentlessness.

I feel for Whyte. Aside from Fury (and maybe Ortiz), he's most deserving of a title shot but he won't have a shot at Wilder for a while and already got his ass beat by Joshua. I mean he can't fight Chisora a third time given he won the first two. There's nothing to gain there. Whyte/Ortiz could be interesting to watch but why take on such a dangerous opponent if it isn't for the title?

----------------

Anyway what's the fight of the year? This is easily a contender but there have been some really good ones. Not sure if it beats Canelo/GGG II.

National audience on fox main and they put the mellow Charlo v Tony Harrison to bore everyone to death lmao. Is there any evidence the pbc has any clue what they are doing

Lol Charlos, but more importantly, lol judges forever and always. Robbed Jarmell and made up for it by adding some points for Jarmall.

lol people thinking Korobov won the fight. He barely touched Charlo during the second half of the fight aside from a left here and there. You'd have to be super generous to have 115-113 for Korobov. Even a draw is hard to see. Charlo definitely got the worst of it early though.

Missed the other Charlo but I had the Korobov fight 116-112 for Charlo. 119-108 is an abomination. That judge was clearly on the take even if the right guy got the win imo.

I didn’t get to see the end of first fight or the second Charlo fight but sounds like a relatively disastrous night for the Charlos from what I’m reading. Doesn’t seem like worth catching on a replay but Still want to see the Hurd Charlo fight. Either Mal steps up or gets torn apart and they are reaching half Broner level of annoying for me so I wouldn’t mind either outcome. I saw most people had Korobov up 3-1 then I missed the rest I was watching Nate Bargatze do stand up live...he was great the opener was yikes...

(Tbf to them both they don’t have anywhere near the shenanigans with the law Broner has they just seem pretty annoying and it’s time for Mal at least to have a big fight...no one reaches full Broner level)

The Charlos showed what most sharper people already suspected; they are solid-pretty good, not great fighters.

Very few tough fights and they haven't exactly dominated in the step ups they've had. Yet people are talking about them in the same sentence as GGG, Jacobs or Canelo. They should all fight, sure, but they are the next tier clearly.

Yea, they keep getting their fighters paid more than other promoters do for equal caliber fighters and have been doing it for years now.

The investors may be making crap and us fans aren't happy about many of the matchups, but the guys taking the punches are making out better on PBC than anywhere else.

Each of the Charlos likely cleared a million last night, perhaps 1.5-2 million a piece for what was supposed to be a double showcase.

PBC is doing good work. The key to brining boxing back in the US is probably no more than 2 "leagues" like PBC that can build a sort of brand. From that solid base, the two or three big independant guys pop up and drive the sport forward.

The Ali Act means we can't have a UFC-like coordination, but a few smaller groups might work.
