Wooooow awesome. 8-4 too wide for me but I have no pity for Garcia . Kind of shocked at unanimous

Same. No idea where 8-4 came from. Once I saw that score, figured Porter won given his output.

It's like Haymon sent Spence into that ring to say "I want to fight Porter, oh and next year." Definitely avoid the Crawford fight, and probably Mikey Garcia too, c'mon boxing!

BLH gave Garcia the last two rounds but still gave it 7-5 to Porter, so go figure.

Garcia did land a few big shots in the fight, but nothing seemed to bother Porter all that much. Ditto on the reverse, but Porter is more known for his collateral damage.

Danny looks like he was the kind of kid who would cry after striking out in little league.

Scoring is hard but honestly I just am watching a different fight from anyone who scored 11 for Garcia. Clear porter round for me and wasn’t close IMO

Watched Superfly 3. Yes, HBO did have a card running against SHO's card. Pretty obvious who got the most attention.

The three fights were largely unremarkable contests. One thing that was very obvious was how much the HBO crew was shilling for Nietes. They acted like a crime had been committed when the fight was a split draw. To be honest, I could see his opponent (some guy I never heard of) winning a close decision. Personally, I thought Nietes did enough to win but there were enough close rounds that I could see somebody thinking that he lost. It was obvious that Nietes's power didn't carry to super flyweight and that his age is showing.

Otherwise, it was pretty boring.

Thoughts on Canelo/Triple G?

Any pods people recommend for boxing? I would think the Heavy Hands podcast will do a preview but haven't seen it yet.

GGG never gets a decision. Canelo is the golden goose who will win if it goes the distance because boxing is fixed.

Wouldn't be surprised if Golovkin goes suicidal knowing this and gets knocked out by a well-timed counter.

Anyway, I don't think this goes the distance. GGG was pretty tentative in the first fight as he feared Canelo's counterpunching ability. Now, I think he's so pissed that he'll try to finish him early. Just have to hope that he doesn't get caught.

Three words:

Big. Drama. Show.

Canelo without PEDs will get hurt easier.

Concur. I'm on GGG and the Under, and am looking to add GGG KO/TKO/DQ if the price is right.

In this corner with Brian Campbell is easily the best for me in terms of entertainment. Him and rafe are hilarious. I also listen to hbo boxing podcast , knucklesngloves, Chris mannix podcast. Just started punch2theface podcast today and enjoyed it as well as the boxing esquire podcast on the business side of things (he’s a lawyer with an interesting guest once a month or so.) Steve Kim is popular but I cannot stand him and hate his pod ymmv. The only must listen is in this corner. Second is Chris mannix because he is IMO intellectually honest and not an industry hack and he gets good guests. The rest are hit and miss. I think there are some good british boxing pods I just don’t know about but Brian Campbell uses a lot of their footage on his pod.

I was completely staying away from this fight thinking the odds look right to me( and I see no value in undercard except maybe a bet against chocalitito thinking he could be completely washed ) but Adam abromawitz made a good point I think that it seems really weird no one at all is talking about canelo and his knee brace/ knee injury. Seems like they are even enough that any sort of small 10-15% performance issue could be a real problem. But idk I will be rooting for GGG and not betting

That's not a bad fight. Hopefully Usyk can get a fair score.

Easy win for Usyk. Good for Bellew to get one last big payday before calling it a career.

Usyk should roll but like most people I have done a 180 with bellew and like the guy some now . Would be an insane story if he could pull off the upset but I don’t see it

Anyway tonight on ESPN is Jose Ramirez v Antonio Orozco which is a really good fight that slipped under the radar . Orozco is a very live dog here I think . Ramirez is being set up to face prograis next year in what should be a fantastic fight

Main about to start in probably 15 or so. Def worth a watch on ESPN if your in USA. 2 undefeated guys in their prime . Not superstar level but for as much as top rank has pushed both these guys over the years as prospects I’m surprised it’s a Friday night fight . Solid appetizer for tomorrow. Ramirez is like -300 I think. He def has a better resume than Orozco but Orozco likes to bang at least

It was very good. Both guys stock went up for me. Ramirez v whoever wins the tourney (Taylor or prograis prob) is gonna be a great fight . Orozco has a lot of good fights he can be in even if he isn’t world champion material

Floyd's always throwing out a release here and there to keep his name in the news and gauge interest in certain fights in case there's money to be made in an easy comeback. He did that with Conor and when everybody shat all over that idea, it went away. Now he's trying the same with Manny. When we **** on this, it won't happen.

The undercard for Ggg vs Canelo seems quite strong.
My cable will only show the last 2 fights + the main event though.
