Ugas been coasting since the 9th, not taking any risks and happy with a 120-108 win.

I'm going with Garcia due to his superior boxing and especially counter punching abilities.

They were too sloppy and except the final round I didn't feel anyone was really hurt throughout.

More meaningful punches and more impact moments and it would be a FOTY type candidate for me, or more drama (Kownacki started out in a comfortable lead and it was only slightly close due to Martin potentially winning some close rounds towards the end). It was a good, somewhat competitive undercard fight to me.

Ortiz-Wilder was much more dramatic and had impact moments, to compare it to another HW fight this year.

Porter seems a bit hesitant and very aware of Garcia's counter punching early.

Wouldn't be too discouraged if I'm Porter's corner, remember the Lamont Peterson fight, Danny isn't going to be 100% sharp for the full fight, have some patience, pick your spots then pounce on the opportunity.

As close as everybody thought it would be.

2-1 Garcia

I missed the first 3 rounds, where is the best place to check scorecards during fight?

I think Porter took round 4, he established his style of fight in that one with some chaotic exchanges where he went to the body and got the better of it.

I have it 3-1 Garcia but I could see someone giving Porter round 2 perhaps.

Porter staying low seems to be helping too, Garcia has missed high several times.

Only clear round of the fight so far. Porter won it convincingly.

If Scott Christ is scoring, badlefthook.com, otherwise it's kind of a crapshoot imo (but can check stuff like espn's dan rafael, boxingscene's live card, the commentator's unofficial card to get an idea).

I think Garcia was more effective in round 5. I like his composure. Porter is more active now, but it's kind of like the Brook fight, where neither side is that effective. I think Porter needs to clearly land to get rounds from most judges.

Porter and Garcia trading rounds this fight so far.

First odd numbered round I have for Porter

Porter took the 7th I believe. 4-3 Garcia would be my score so far.

Fight is nice in spots, the competitiveness and the stakes make it more interesting than it otherwise would be. But either one of these guys could walk into something (Porter) or get blitzed by the other (Garcia) at any time.

Garcia looking to lose a little stamina, if Porter keeps this up Garcia is going to need a second wind.

Love the body work from Porter. Garcia hasn't been as sharp the last couple of rounds, not ready to snap off a counter punch so quick as he was earlier in the fight.

Can Porter keep up the pace like in the 7th and 8th? He dominated those last 2 rounds.

Very close 9th round. Garcia did enough in my book to take it.

5-4 Porter

When Porter throws the jab, he has the edge.

6-5 Porter

This has nonsense Garcia decision written al over it. Very close fight but porter rounds were more clear to me. I think it’s close going into 12 but the point is Garcia gets benefit of doubt every time. I have it 6-5 with porter rounds more clear. I think Garcia arguably won first 3 tho. Just close fignt as anyone could have predicted

If porter loses he has to blame himself for trying to outbox Garcia first three rounds imo. Just not your style man

I think Garcia got a little too tired down the stretch and didn't put enough work in. Porter's activity and body work inches it out for me. I could see a case for a draw or Porter win to my eyes, but like pretty much all of Porter's big close fights, it's not all that clear what does and doesn't land in real time.

I thought it was smart, Porter's game is to rush in and create chaos, Garcia was really fresh early and he's shown in several big fights prior that when he's fresh he's a lot more dangerous, and he can fade down the stretch. Porter took advantage of that, taking the first few rounds tentatively allowed him to win rounds later.

I don’t think there is much daylight between Thurman Garcia porter. None should sniff top 10 p4p I don’t agree with people who have Thurman on fringes of that personally

If any fight is a draw, it's this one.

Got it 114-114. Can see it either way so long as it's close.

I know that’s the argument but I’m just not convinced that anything he did early set up his later aggression or helped him at all

Agree with you here. I don't think any of them beat Spence.
