I think the criticism was mainly BJS was very outspoken about Daniel Dubois quitting when his orbital was broken during a fight and then BJS (or his team) quit on the stool.

A few BJS quotes below:

'If my two eye sockets were broken, my jaw was broken, my teeth were out, my nose was smashed, my brain was beaten, I was not stopping until I was knocked out or worse. I don’t agree with a man taking the knee and letting the ref count him out."

'In the past, we’ve seen a lot of tragedies in boxing, deaths in the ring. Before I go on one knee I’d like to go out on my back with my pulse stopped.'

Right, BJS is also an idiot. Both things can be true. "Just bleed" morons are always awful regardless.

Eddie Hearn has said the Fury/Joshua fight will be in Saudi Arabia. What a complete joke decision that is, gonna alienate a ton of hardcore fans.

It was just a couple years ago that everyone was supposed to boycott/cancel Saudi Arabia for the assassination of the reporter Jamal Khashoggi. That didn't stop WWE from moving forward with it's big show there though, just one month after the assassination. Money talks and the Saudi royal family is willing to pay lots of money for big events like this.

Not having AJ/Fury in England seems like a historical misstep but then...$$$$$$$$$$$$ so I get it.

+1 but sadly seems to be the trend - F1, Tennis, and Golf all happy to take Saudi money.

As a brit, it would've been awesome to have it in the UK and I definitely would've gone! But even if we put $ aside, it was never happening.

The Euro final just got moved from Wembley because they couldn't provide assurance that fans could attend in July. I doubt they would let 80k+ fans attend in August.

Manny vs. Spence set.

Not sure how Manny can make weight with those balls.

Does anyone know why Logan/Floyd is tomorrow night? That is bizarre, not even a holiday weekend.

Completely bizarre. Still going to be huge.

In for Ocho Cinco knocking some fool out and complete riggage in the main event

floyd played it wrong, should've put pace on him fast and KO'd him

no one wants to see him win a cardio contest

man this seems so beneath showtime though, they really hopped on the celeb boixing train fast

Two rounds of Logan tiring himself out hitting Floyd's guard followed by six rounds of Logan hugging Floyd.

Celebrity boxing exhibitions are just a reverse robin hood scheme. It's a very easy way to take large amounts of money from the masses of plebes in order to line the pockets of a couple rich celebrities.

Logan Paul had tons of energy after this match and of course Floyd did too given his low output. Neither guy gave 100%. They just tried to make it mildly entertaining and now they can go party their asses off after making a quick 8 figures each.

How do they make 8 figs each? I can't imagine this thing did more than like 100k buys

Person I watched the exhibition with told me they both had 8 figure guarantee but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I see Floyd has $10 million guaranteed and Logan only $250k guaranteed. Floyd gets 50% of PPV Buys and Logan gets 10%.

Floyd claims he made $30 million just on the buildup of this "fight" (how does that work?) and expects to make $50 million to $100 million total.

I really hadn't heard much hype for this "fight" and didn't expect it to do that good. I also don't understand why it took place on a Sunday night. However, even if it falls flat, 100k buys sounds way too low for a Floyd fight.

does floyd have some huge boomer/genX base of fans that dont know what streaming is? and it isnt like there are a lot of gathering/parties on a sunday night

showtime being subsidiary of public traded company will actually release real figures though right? so i guess we will get to see

Floyd is old and slow and I’m not sure he should risk a fight with the other Paul brother who is in much better shape. Floyd’s a degen tho so will probably keep taking meme fights until he gets hurt or knocked out.

There was a viewing party right behind my house. I counted 25 people ($50/ppv, $2 each). They seemed to be the Logan Paul fan base though. Mayweather has quite a big fan base in the community. I'm with you though. I don't think this event will do too great.

One of my buddies wanted to split the PPV with me after having some streaming difficulties. I said hell to the no.

ESPN is a subsidiary of a publicly traded company and UFC PPV #s are now harder to get a hold of then before ESPN got involved.

I do think Floyd vs Jake would sell huge though. Especially if Jake KO's TWood.

Didn’t see it but I imagine the same thing happened that did with McGregor. Floyd could have wasted either at anytime. But he is a damn genius getting paid. Make these guys look just good enough that morons think they have a chance setting up the next payday.
