BJS is a step below Canelo, Jacobs and GGG. Charlo would make for an interesting opponent.

Just watched BJS and Lemieux. Wow! Did not expect that gulf in class.

So before this fight I figure they were clear 4th and 5th rank in the division (I don't know much about Charlo tbh), and BJS made an absolute mockery of Lemieux... so where does this leave BJS??

He's never been on the canvas and I don't see any of the top 3 matching his footwork. I hope he stays active now; his confidence and fitness are great. Its a shame he has no KO power.

Having said all that, I reeeally want to see him get laid out by GGG or Canelo, and I think he will.

GGG or Canelo make easy work of BJS. If they can't get their **** together and do part 2, it would be nice for GGG to get #AllTheBelts

Haven't seen it yet but Charlo/Lubin should be #1 imo

Terence Crawford named ESPN Fighter of the Year for 2017.

**** what would Lomachenko have had to do to win? He fought 3 times, made all 3 opponents quit on their stool and didn't lose a single round. He was voteed #1 p4p by ESPN but not FOTY? WTF?

ESPN can't do anything right.

BWAA announced nominees for their awards:

Gotta say 2017 was the best year for boxing we've had in a long time. Guess 2018 will act as hype for 2019 fights.

Mike definitely a no bull**** kind of guy. He took Don Lemon to task in an interview about his show as well. Part of it his him being from a completely different world. I mean most of the interviewers are from upper-class families and went to prestigious schools. Mike grew up in Brownsville and was in and out of trouble throughout his life. He's definitely going to approach things much more aggressively.

For the record, I saw a recording of his show. If you already know about Mike's life, it doesn't offer much. But if you're just a casual boxing fan or only know Tyson's name, it's pretty interesting.

Maidana going the Ricky Hatton and Naseem Hamed route.

No surprise they pack on pounds. Boxers eat something like 10,000 calories a day when training. Then they retire and keep eating that much.

I'd prefer to watch Maidana fight one of them.

When is Dillian gonna fight someone on the level he thinks he's on? (apart from Joshua)

They offered Wilder $4m. What more u gotta do? He will fight anyone but they all ducking.

Browne fight could be a real snooze fest but could also turn out like the Chisora fight which was awesome, if Lucas comes to have a go

Maybe you guys are right. I just have no time for Browne as he's a drug cheat who's never fought anyone

Looks like Joshua v Parker will be in Cardiff. Can anyone see any realistic way that Parker can win this? Not sure I'd bet on Parker even at 15-1.

At least Whyte V Browne could be interesting.

I've watched Parker's last 5/6 fights and I don't think he's capable of getting any joy against Joshua.

Not fast enough, not enough power, he's a decent boxer but 0 threat to Joshua.

I was not impressed by Parker in any way against Hughie. He seems to be the perfect opponent for AJ. A slow, straight ahead, not particularly powerful puncher. Should be an easy KO for AJ.

Then again, I thought Takam would be an easy KO.

Eleider Alvarez stepped aside from Adonis without getting any step aside money. He might have the worst handlers in existence. He also withdrew from a purse bid against Gvozdyk. I almost feel bad for Alvarez. Seems that he just does whatever his handlers tell him to and doesn't question anything.

Plus lol Adonis been running away from Alvarez for three years. Probably also runs from Badou Jack. Maybe he'll choose to fight Fonfara again instead of trying to become a good fighter.

RJJ fighting (supposedly) for the last time. Gonna be 49 in a few days. He's also going to be giving some boxing trips through some training app.

Maybe he can use some training on how to stay retired.

I'd be silently confident Parker could pull the upset. He does need to improve a lot though. Hughie Fury makes anyone look horrible and wouldn't read too much into that performance. Parker has guts and I'll be disappointed if he just folds early. Joshua's reach advantage will probably get it done for him.

I think Ortiz is going to starch Wilder inside 6.
