good stoppage, only thing that was keeping him up were the ropes.
ya the stoppage was fine
i recently watched a documentary on emile griffith and they spent a lot of time talking about his fight with benny 'the kid' paret and it's tragic stuff, any time a boxer gets trapped in a corner like that and starts taking that much punishment then it's never wrong to stop it imo
I think PBF fight is lucky if it's the 3rd best fight within a month in either direction of that night. Canelo hasn't been all that impressive to me. Sure, he's a very good fighter, but it's not like he's dominating top contenders from start to finish. He looked very tired for a long stretch of his last fight. I think Canelo fans have to hope that Floyd struggles a bit and Canelo has a breakout. From what we've seen from both fighters I don't understand how it could be nearly as close as the odds show it.
JMM - Bradley (JMM has to knock him out, right?) and Pac-Rios should be nuts though. Those are the two I'm looking forward to. If Pac doesn't bring his best I can see Rios pulling an upset. The guy constantly instigates, he's young enough to improve going into this fight and he has the chin of a legend. If Manny still has his good stuff it could be short order, but at least we know we'll see fireworks in that fight.
I've never seen the guy that Klitschko is supposed to fight next in that huge purse bid. Is he any good? Or just overhyped?

That was the fight where the winner kept throwing punches with the one hand when the other guy was already out on his feet? Horrible to watch when you know the outcome. I remember seeing an interview with the winner and the bad blood between him and the poor fella that died was still there decades later despite what happened.

this is the documentary i was talking about, it's worth a watch:
griffith tried to visit paret at the hospital after the fight and he never really got over what happened
