Aye, its a real shame boxing politics gets in the way of Super fights .. but there you go.

On a different note ... whats everyone's opinions on David Haye after his stint in the jungle ?

Personally ... i thought he was decent throughout and probably surprised a few people.

Lets just say that Pac crushed Hatton way worse than Floyd. It's kind of pointless to speculate around as it's all built on style vs. style.

Floyd is the clear favorite over Pacquiao. But not because he beat Marquez clearly while Pac did not.

In the end, who cares? These pussies will not fight eachother. Until they do, **** em.

War Marquez!

I always thought he was a decent guy so no surprises here. Him and Adam Booth are both pretty funny and quite articulate. Would have liked to see Chisora in the Jungle, might have been a complete nutter

Maybe Haye could fight the winner of Price v Fury, if that one happens

1 fighter dodging another to preserve his legend status is now being labelled "boxing politics" ITT.

I dont care any more, I think Manny is past his best and thats what PBF was waiting for, even if the fight happens now and PBF wins, it wont change anything in my mind. This fight needed to happen 2 years ago, when both fighters were at the peak of their powers. I would have had my money on Pac-man back then FWIW.

I think that would end in disaster for either/both, so it would be smart IMO for them to avoid Haye.

Martin Murray has confirmed he will fight Sergio Martinez for the WBC middleweight title in Argentina on April 27.

The St Helens fighter has been rewarded for his win over Jorge Navarro last month for the WBA interim belt.

Murray's previous world title shot ended in disappointment when he controversially drew with Felix Sturm in 2011, and promoter Ricky Hatton believes it could be second time lucky for the 30-year-old.

"These are very exciting times for Martin," said Hatton. "It has been a work in progress for him.

"I am very proud of the job Hatton Promotions have done with him.

"I think that it is a credit to Hatton Promotions for making make such fights for him. We have come a long way in a short space of time."

Martinez, who was held the WBC title since 2010, has defeated both Darren Barker and Matthew Macklin and won a unanimous points decision over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in his previous fight.

Meanwhile, Hatton also revealed Scott Quigg will make the first defence of his WBA interim super-bantamweight crown early next year.

The Bury boxer captured the vacant belt with an impressive sixth-round stoppage of Rendall Munroe.

"Rendall has been one of the flag bearers of British boxing and an exceptional professional who I have enjoyed promoting and being around," said Hatton.

"But Scott was on another level at the weekend and there are so many big money fights ahead."

David Price was self-critical after stopping Matt Skelton early to retain his British and Commonwealth titles at the Aintree Equestrian Centre.

The Liverpudlian had the veteran in trouble with a couple of jolting headshots but it was a withering body blow at the end of the second round that had Skelton down and out.

Price told Sky Sports afterwards: "Matt just put it on me straight away. I didn't expect him to come right across the ring and do that, so he took me by surprise even though we know what he's about.

"It was a bit scrappy at times but that's what happens when you box Matt Skelton. He did make things awkward at times and it was difficult to get motivated. It was only this week that I started to get excited about it."

On the finish, the towering 29-year-old said: "The bodyshots are something we've been working on but usually we don't get much of an opportunity to throw them because if I hit someone on the head, they're gonna go.

"I caught Matt on the head with a couple of shots but he's a tough man with a tough man, so I thought I'd see what would happen downstairs and I caught him one coming in and that was the beginning of the end."

Many hope Price will finally face domestic rival Tyson Fury next year, and Price's promoter Frank Maloney admitted the unbeaten Fury is on the radar along with Dereck Chisora.

Maloney said: "We're going to name a top American opponent within the next 24 hours. He'll be out February and then we'll be looking to do a nice fight with Dereck Chisora or Tyson Fury.

"We made Tyson Fury an offer last time that we had no response to. We're prepared to put £650,000 into an account on Monday morning, which is £150,000 more than we offered him last time.

"We want it, the British public want it and the world wants to see it. He won't earn that sort of money for fighting a Klitschko. You get half a million dollars and half of your TV rights."

Just can't see how he gets it. He needs to dominate and even then there could be a loldecision.

Also.. Marquez is 39 years old. That's crazyold for a natural lightweight. It has to come back and bite him in the ass eventually.

Hoping for another really competitive fight and im more pumped for it this time than i was for the 3rd which i thought was a mismatch going in.

I would hate to be a judge for this fight. It will probably have a load of close rounds and whichever way you score it you will have a huge army of fans calling you stupid.

If the fourth fight happened immediately after the third then Marquez would have probably got the decision if it was close but Pacquiao getting ripped off in the Bradley fight will confuse things a bit.

Anyone have the betting lines on this fight? I don't bet on sports and know little of how they work, but curious to see what they are.

Thanks. So how close would you say it is to expectations, no bias and all factors worked in? I just think this fight could be really close. OR, super outside chance Pac KOs Marquez in a rd 5-8 surprise and we all are wrong.
