Did anyone think he was winning the fight? I was going nuts at the TV. They had him winning first 3 round and tying 4th, I had it 2-2 at that point. I think Ricky was 3 rounds down when he got KO'd. Even if he was a round up or so(I just dont see that but if everyone else does I guess its me) I dont think he looked capable of winning either of the last 2 rounds. Any decision where Ricky won on points would have been a big "homer" IMO.

Love Ricky but FFS lad let it go.

Was watching his interview just shaking my head saying no Rick, you werent good, you werent winning by 4 rounds and when you re-watch this you will see it.

I mean I know you get points for being aggressive, but theres being aggressive and theres walking straight forward getting picked off at will and wildly swinging like a 5 year old on a temper tantrum. There were even 2-3 rounds in the middle there where Senchenko just took the middle of the ring and Ricky couldnt make him back off, Ricky looked all at sea in those rounds and Woodhall was attempting to say those rounds were close.

Lets be honest, this guy isnt that good either. Malignaggi beat him and Malignaggi isnt that good either. Hes good, but hes not near where Ricky was or wants to be. Hope Ricky sees sense.

I felt like Senchenko was up by about a round.

4-5am

Ricky real fight is not in the ring.He is trying to fix his mental problems by fighting again.

As we saw tonight ,that is not the answer. His interview sums up the real problem

little chance that the Ukrainian was winning that on points imo unless he completely dominated, which he did not. £.

if sky sports had hatton one point up going into round 9,
he probably was losing with a netural judge

he was too slow, missing too much, didnt seem his usual hard hitting aggressive self,

he aimed too high, hindsight is a wonderful thing.

That said, his corner should have slew him down a tad.....

i cant understand why he was missing so much either, the other boxer wasnt a slipply mayweather type and he wasnt moving much...

maybe he needs contact lenses

"Ricky was a bit too aggressive. Will Ricky look at himself in the mirror tomorrow morning and want to punch himself in the face?
wouldnt matter, because he would miss

LOL,i am a former boxer...where do i start ...6 months out of the ring you get ring rust ...timing etc etc goes...3 years is a life time man

Also they spar with 14-16oz gloves with high low blow protectors.Which means you have not taken a 8oz body shot for over 3 years .You can do 3 years of sit up and it will not make up for one 8oz body shot

The mistake tonight was not having a warm up fight ,why the hell they would choose and guy ranked in the top 10 for a comeback fight is madness

But as i said in my other posts ,tonight was a waste of time anyway .It was all going one way in the long run for Hatton

i had ricky up a round at the point of the knockdown. (scoring the 9th round)

He would definitely have won a decision. Justified or not.

I wonder what Paulie said to Ricky as he walked away from the interview. He held his arm and leaned in, seemed like the kind of scenario where you could kick a guy when hes down and Paulie always came across as that kind to me(maybe hes grown up a bit lately).

Having said that Paulie cant mix it with the big guns in the Welterweight/Light Middleweight divisions so Ricky is the guy he could probably beat and still get a good payday. So maybe he was encouraging him to come back, maybe he told him he did well out there.

the opposite to me. Paulie has always been a decent and honest/fair guy. Very big heart.

Oh I think he may have won the decision, I dont know how though(well I do, Manchester ldo). If you counted scoring punches in each round it was embarrassing. I would bet money he didnt win more than 2 rounds based on volume of scoring punches alone.

Just depends whether the judges see a small jab clean to the face the same way as they see 1 left hook to the kidneys.

I had ricky winning 2-5 and losing all the rest, plus I thought rounds 2 and 5 were close

sad to see. 78-74 is just trolling, can't believe that wasn't the english judge

so much for not making rash decisions. Surely the right one, but I'm not convinced at all he will retire, especially if he actually thinks he was up 4 rounds

Hopefully his retirement sticks this time. Hope he keeps his focus on his family and other ventures.
