Oh no. Chuck Giampa got some stage fright in his ShoBox intro tonight. Damn.

Didn't get to watch the fight. Heard Ramos quit. Was it good or was it another snoozer?

I have been unimpressed with Guillermo every time I've seen him fight. He got so much praise from boxing insiders. They were hyping him up to be a future top p4p guy, but I have been pretty disappointed with what I've seen from him. Maybe my expectations were too high.

the fight sucked in from my casual fan couch ramos lost every round and neither one of them threw many punches, but ramos took inactivity to a whole new level and finally got knocked out from a couple nice body punches in the 6th i believe

I was there. The main event was awful. All of the undercard fights, most of which weren't on tv, were great. Even the scrubs in the opening bouts were game and exchanging haymakers. Live boxing is such a great take.

I'm not very interested in that fight but it would definitely be the fight I would make if I was Bob Arum.

Big Fat John McDermott swallowed a waterbed.

Price should make short work of this.

I didn't like the stoppage, but I didn't hate it either. Robb looked ready to go earlier in the fight and Drakulich almost stopped it then. I was sitting right behind Robb's corner and the swelling around his right eye was borderline scary. He was wincing bigtime every time his cutman got near it, and Diaz kept blasting that spot with left hooks. It was probably an early stoppage, but Drakulich aslo may have saved the kid's eyesight.

I don't think this will happen. Cotto is leaving Arum. Arum wants all of Pacquaio's fights in house (or at least it appears that way). I think we're more likely to see Bradley or even Lamont Peterson as he's rumored to be jumping ship to Top Rank.

Bob probably advised Pac to fight Cotto so that Cotto will come back to Top Rank. What better way to convince Cotto to come back than a big payday against Pacquiao?

I hear there's a report out confirming that Floyd officially declined a 50-50 split. So if Cotto's getting made it's because Floyd already scuttled a Pac fight. Pac had already agreed to unlimited random urine and blood testing, the site, the date, everything that was contentious. Yet Floyd demands more than 50%? That was his way of saying he doesn't want to fight. What Floyd tweets and what he means are two different things.

Fraudley Harrison is coming out of retirement. They can put Paq vs PBF on the undercard to this mega-fight.

The British heavyweight scene is buzzing at the moment. I doubt Fury's promoter will want to put him in with Price. I always look forward to Audley's fights, the man is hilarious (not intentionally of course).

Yeah but what you know about the sport of boxing could be written on a postage stamp.

I think that his is guarantee, after adding in his portion of PPV and ticket sales or whatever it gets up to around $20 million.

Floyd claims to have made more money in his last three fights than Pac has made in his whole career. Taking away that sheister Arum's cut, that's probably true.

I still don't know how the PBF won over De la Hoya 5 years ago.

What do you mean? Did you see the fight? It really wasn't that close, honestly.

Total Punches De La Hoya Mayweather
Landed 122 207
Thrown 587 481
Pct. 21% 43%
Power Punches De La Hoya Mayweather
Landed 82 138
Thrown 341 241
Pct. 24% 57%

punch stats are not a perfect measurement of a fight, but in this case it's quite accurate. It was a straight forward fight, and i doubt people can make much of a case for Oscar winning more than 4 rounds. Personally i gave him 4 on first viewing and 3 on the second and third. Should be noted i was a big time Oscar fan (not so much now, hes an idiot).
