I agree with this but the problem is PBF can get a lot of PPV views no matter who he fights, period. Even if this fight brings in more views it will not be anywhere near the numbers that a PBF/Pac fight would get.

So why should Floyd take the risk against such a dangerous opponent? If he loses then any chance of making the biggest pay-day ever with Pac goes out of the window. Pac is the only fight that makes sense. If he wants to grind out another 1-1.3 million in PPV views fight it shouldn't be against this tough of an opponent.

If it was a question of PBF wanting to "fight the best available" then I could see it happening. At this point in his career though I think his main goals are to a) make as much money as possible; and b) stay undefeated. He already claims he's the best ever so it all comes down to economics.

if you think alvarez is "too tough" then whats the alternative? Theres not a lot of names out there.
It's not like he can decide to fight pac and it will happen. They both need to want to fight eachother.

And theres quite a big difference from doing 1.5 million with canelo and 1.0 million with berto if you as floyd promote yourself.

There's not an alternative, that's the point. Anyone but Pac will draw criticism and the inevitable "quit ducking him" response. Floyd has put himself in a position where fighting anyone but Pac will draw sighs from the critics.

So it's like I said, if he fights anyone else he will get standard Floyd PPV numbers as he always has. Why risk getting beat up and ruining any chance of a huge pay-day if the Pac fight has a chance of happening in the future?

Mainly because each boxer is backed by a TV network and the whole country is split as well
This needs more love.

I don't give a **** if people think JCC is overrated or whatever, but this card would generate HUGE heat.

Anyone else fed up of seeing these guys (Sam Watson on the left and his twins on the right) every time an Al Haymon fighter is on HBO? (basically every African-American seems to be an Al Haymon fighter).

The twins particularly annoy me, they just seem to stand around the ring with stupid grins on their faces.

"I been told the boy May 5th is open. I told him May 5th is open...Now you know me, to all the FightHype fans and all the fans, May 5th is the date. Sign the contract! Sign the contract! I'm waiting. Now I can't be sitting waiting all day, now. You want a fight, let's make it happen. May 5th! Now this is FightHype coming to you live. This is exclusive. May 5th, let's make the fight. I'm here. I'm waiting. What's going on? You said you a clean athelete and you said you would take the tests and all that. Well let's do it,"

I guess floyd is pushing harder for the pac fight now.

Why does he want to fight Manny Pacquiao? He's been knocked out twice and was out-boxed by Erik Morales.

For any boxing fans in the U.K ,this should be really good .........

http://www.itv.com/presscentre/fight...s/default.html

I was ringside that night ,best and worst night of boxing in my life to date.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dc-G4KMOllU

Could of been one of the greatest fights, come backs in a fight of all time.Top 10 for sure.

I lost my voice for 3 days after that night

Or earning a net $50 million purse could have something to do with it....

This is the only fight that can make that happen.

Murray vs Sturm was cracking. Great performance from Murray, on neutral territory he may well have won that.

Very close fight, a draw seemed about right. Not many clear cut rounds either way.

Thankfully the upcoming fights on Sky are just on normal Sky Sports and not PPV.

Looking forward to seeing Kell Brook in the States on the undercard of the Froch fight.

I noticed Jim Watt had one round up for the Brit, but he gave the last round even despite Sterm having a great finish. A draw seemed fair enough to me.
