Yea, it's kind of a big "if". The clock is ticking for Martinez but I don't see Alvarez nor that promotion ready for a while - if ever. I'd like to see Martinez in a big promotion while he's still sharp but he may end up like Hagler and have to wait until he's tailing off. And he may never get one for that matter - which would be too bad imo.

Am I a bad person because my first thought when I saw him sleeping was to hope someone ran up, slapped him in the face, and yelled "Protect yo self at all times!!!!"

Wouldn't be surprised if he purposely placed it there;

Floyd should be very happy dannyocean or some other high school wrestler weren't around. He would have been dragged into an alley and gotten destroyed.

What exactly does John Murray think he is going to achieve by fighting Brandon Rios, apart from getting beaten up rather badly?

It will probably look a lot like Brandon Rios's last fight; a lot of action but probably over in a few rounds. Unfortunately for Murray, Rios is better than him in pretty much every department.

Should David Haye retire or not?

He has earned a ridiculous amount of money over the last couple of years so he doesn't need to fight again. But does he want the lasting memory of him to be getting his injured toe out after a boring loss to Wlad?

I think he beats any heavyweight apart from the Klits and he is actually exciting to watch when he isn't fighting huge guys. He would demolish the likes of Adamek, Povetkin, Solis and Arreola imo. I think Vitali knocks him out, but he can gain a lot from a brave defeat to him.

^^ Pretty much agree with everything stated

I do however feel that he could have beaten Klits if he had gambled on getting inside the jab and trying to land a big shot. This obviously puts him at risk of gettin sparko'd but its the way to do it. Im not sure how much the toe really affected his ability to launch the big right.... only he knows that but I wonder if the result would hav been exactly the same had his toe been fine

i don't get how anyone can blame a pinky toe. Other than a mild pain, what trouble it could cause. It's not like you push away with the far end of your foot, rather the inside of the foot.

david haye is and was extremely overhyped. He was a good enough cruiserweight, but his resume is far from impressive even at that weight.
As a heavyweight, he could be one of the most boring "high level" hw of all time. Absurdly low punchoutput for a guy his size and fitness level.

Will not miss him, but i know he will be back. Hopefully to get sparked by vitali.

He did briefly make the heavyweight division interesting, outside of the ring at least, now we have Wlad versus Mormeck to look forward to.

Will you miss Wlad when he's gone? I can't wait for him to **** off, it's a shame his and his brother's ages aren't reversed.

what good will it do to have the only great fighter in the division retire? (vitali will retire 2012 for sure)

People say this all the time. "Can't wait for klitschko to retire". Well then you're left with Povetkin vs Holyfield or out of shape bums being terrible fighting for a terrible championship.
The division would be completely dead. Now It's only almost dead.

When boxers fight him they hardly seem to try and he only does just enough to win, his fights are just awful in every way. Wlad going away will just mean fewer boring fights. I only watch his fights because I wouldn't want to miss the next time he gets KTFO, the clips of him getting spaghetti legs against Brewster, Sanders and Purrity just aren't enough to satisfy my hunger any more.

It's a shame because recently I've started to realise he is actually quite a cool guy outside the ring. In the ring he is probably in my top 5 most hated of all time.

i put a bet on chad at even money, but that was before i found out he ditched steward and decided to train at home.

I thought his speed would kill, but now i don't know. You don't go into a fight with hopkins underprepared.
