I don't see the point of that article? English is like my 3rd language, so could you tell me which part is interesting? All i see is speculations that a verdict in the ongoing trial could put an end to the pac vs may fight?

but why?

that whole lawsuit is gay beyond belief, but not as gay as assaulting your baby moma i guess.

Which scheduled fight do you guys look forward to the most?

For me It's without a doubt Margarito vs. Cotto 2. So much bad blood there and the first fight was insanely good.

Second is Guerrero vs. Maidana. Maidana is almost never in a bad fight and Guerrero won't back down. Will be sick!

Third is probably Froch vs. Ward. Very important fight that could deliver more than the usual ward snoooozefest.

And as a token of remorse for bringing up the lame pac vs may discussion again, I'll grant you all the joy of one of my favorite highlights. MAB!

such a sick fighter, and a real badass. Never took **** from noone.

People like to talk about the SRL, Duran, Hearns, Hagler era, but we got a really sick four horsemans in JMM, pac, morales and barrera too. Not quite as good as the previous guys, but man did they bring us excitement.
The morales vs MAB is still probably one of the greatest trilogies in the history of the sport.

Cotto should be allowed to wear gloves this size...

and Margarito should have to wear gloves this size...

hopefully Cotto gets his payback.

Dunno if anyone is watching FNF, but apparently there is some epic trash talking involved in the main event, Tim Coleman v Vernon Paris which is starting soon.

Also, just watched Mikey Faragon pummel the **** out of some guy.

Why demand such a ridiculous sum of money for something that has like 0.1% chance of happening? Mind games and pride.

For pac and roach it almost seem like a strategy. Not the first time they've done it (large fee compared to the total salary for missing weight).
The morales scraps come to mind.
I think it was more about Pac and his team telling Floyd that if there's not a huge penalty and you come in one pound over the weight we're canceling the fight. A $600k payoff like Marquez accepted for Floyd deliberately coming in 2 pounds heavy was not going to be acceptable to Manny. This wasn't a case where Floyd was going down a division or had to cut 40 pounds to make weight. Floyd walks around pretty close to 147 and if he doesn't make 147 it's because he doesn't want to.

Theres just no reason to think Floyd would miss the 147lbs weight limit as hes not a big welter. Theres honestly very close to 0% chance of it happening, and i see it more like a "we are in charge" kind of stipulation.

But who cares. It was accepted upon and i think It's a non issue. I only bring it up when people start to act like Floyd is the only one with crazy demands.

I'm honestly really tired of the whole pac vs. may discussion. I think you'd have to be really biased not to realize both are at fault (and not to mention arum), and i have a slight distaste for both fighters and the fight itself.

My list, in no particular order:

Agbeko - Mares
Froch - Ward
Pacquiao - Marquez
Mayweather - Ortiz
Gamboa - Ponce De Leon
Morales - Matthysse

As much as I dislike Floyd, and think that his fight with Ortiz will be uncompetitive, he's at that level, along with Pacquiao, where every one of his fights is a must-see imo.

I agree, it has got rather boring. Don't forget to mention Richard Schaefer - that man is pure scum, although maybe not in Bob Arum's league yet

Yeah, I'm looking forward to Mares - Agbeko. I have a feeling that Agbeko will adjust better than Mares, but I won't make any predictions. I was actually looking forward to seeing Pavlik this weekend, oh well.

Anyone believe this **** this time around?

Wake me up when the fight is signed.
Think i heard Bob say the same thing last summer.
We all wanna c this fight. I think it will happen

Jus heard that bradley was stripped of the WBC belt for not takin his mandatory. Morales will fight for the vacant title

I think a khan morales fight if it happens would be interesting

etc.. you get what I'm saying.

I think Manny has probably the best resume out of all the currently active fighters except for Evander Holyfield. Just wish he would have retired 10 years ago. No need for him to be fighting bums and racking up losses because he can't let it go.
Same with Roy fwiw.

Evander has some sick wins.

Qawi, Foreman, Bowe, Holmes, Tyson and a draw with Lennox. Sprinkle in solid wins in mercer, moorer etc too.

All great fighters with great resumes. Impossible to compare different eras and different weights but its fun trying.

Agree with ur Holyfield points and he probably has the most impressive resume in terms of names.

Ali and Ray Leonard hav great win records with great names.

But Manny has great names but with the big W against all of them and thats why I think his resume could be the best ever

The two fights you mentioned were very close and opinion is divided over who won. Lewis-Holy 1 was a complete robbery, even Holyfield knew he lost.

I know what you're saying and in general I agree, but Holyfield - Lewis 1 was an exception

Agbeko-Mares tonight on Showtime in the bantamweight tourney final, should be a good fight. I like Agbeko in a close fight.
