lol at Pac being an underdog in this fight. sorry, must have been a misread by whoever, but it made me chuckle.

He could end up losing, there's risk involved, but no way is he an underdog.

Cotto's punches are more transparent. Clottey's talent is doing nothing for 60 seconds than catching you with perfect counter(s) which is why i think he legit never wins a decision vs manny. He's not active enough. But he can catch manny with a perfect counter or more likely, perfect headbutt.

I don't doubt that cutting manny early via "unintentional" headbutt is part of the clottey plan.

In the meantime, Pacquiao/Clottey seems to be headed towards Dempsey/Tunney proportions in terms of the number of people showing up at Cowboys Stadium. My over/under on the Pac/Clottey attendance is 60,000.

Check out this article from: ESPN

Pacquiao-Clottey tickets on fire on first day of sales
Saturday, January 23, 2010
NEW YORK -- "Sure, most boxing fans really, really wanted to see pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao fight Floyd Mayweather on March 13. While that fight isn't happening now because of their inability to agree on how to handle drug testing for the bout, the public seems to have accepted with open arms Pacquiao's replacement fight.

He's going to meet former welterweight titleholder Joshua Clottey on HBO PPV on March 13 in the first boxing event to be held at the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, outside of Dallas.

In just the first three hours of public tickets sales (preceded by three days of limited pre-sales) on Saturday, more than 20,000 of the approximately 40,000 available were gobbled up. They ranged in price from $50 to $700.

"Ross Greenburg and I are very gratified that the public has responded like they have, and we are happy for our partner (Cowboys owner) Jerry Jones," Top Rank promoter Bob Arum told me on Saturday night at the Madison Square Garden Theater.

Arum and Greenburg, the president of HBO Sports, were sitting together shortly before the telecast of Top Rank's doubleheader, featuring featherweight title bouts pitting Steven Luevano and Juan Manuel Lopez and Yuriorkis Gamboa and Rogers Mtagwa.

Arum said if the demand for the fight continues the capacity of the stadium, which is 100,000 or so for Cowboys games, can easily be increased.

"It's going to be quite a night," Arum said. "And Jerry isn't just a one-event guy. If he sees this as a success you can be sure he'll do more boxing in that great stadium."

Also Saturday night, junior middleweight titlist Yuri Foreman and former welterweight titlist Miguel Cotto were in the house. Arum, who promotes both, was talking with both sides trying to finalize a June 12 fight between them, which he is planning for in the Madison Square Garden main arena."

In Addition: Jerry Jones has pledged to buy 30,000 tickets and I also read that Pacquiao himself is buying thousands of tickets for his friends.

Definitely 60,000 over/under, imo.

Pacquiao wins $35,000 pot at the Commerce playing 100-200 NL Holdem. Obviously, an inadequate sample size but for those who have seen him play, does he play good?

I heard he's a good chess player but poker?

Mayweather and Sugar Shane are fighting May 1st

http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news;_yl...yhoo&type=lgns

Great fight. This makes the whole Mayweather/Pac fiasco easier to swallow. Mayweather/SSM is probably going to be the biggest fight of the year (unless Mayweather/Pac fight late 2010).

no proballys about it, Mayweather vs Mosley is the biggest fight of the year and in fact the best fight (on paper) in the last few years.

this does not make pac man look good.

i want to see this fight worse than mayweather vs pac man anyways.

after a great fight between mayweather and mosley, i look foward to the 3 of them producing great fights against each other. i am looking forward to a leonard, duran, hearns, hagler thing going on between them, where they all fight each other.

berto had better get over what happened in haiti real quick and get in the gym before the train leaves without him. if he plays his cards right and is good enough he can get in on the action.

i am sooo hyped. boxing will never die.

as a lifelong boxing lover, this is a great matchup. sugar shane is no joke.

Unless floyd gets injured early in the fight, he beats shane 9/10 times.

This.

Shane's fast, but Floyd's faster. Floyd doesn't take a fight unless he thinks there's an overwhelming chance that he'll win.

if floyd thinks there is an overwhelming chance that he will beat ssm then he must feel that way about every other welterweight in the world.

sugar shane mosley has the potential to be a tougher opponent for mayweather than pac man.

both mosely and pac man will be very difficult for mayweather. as difficult as he has faced so far.

i really respect mosley's skills. in fact, if he and pac man were to fight right now, i thing shane would win.

3 things i know about a sugar shane vs mayweather fight:

1) mayweather's chin, heart and stamina will be really tested.
2) mosley will be in the best shape of his life.
3) to win, mayweather will have to engage in some brutal exchanges with mosley.

I am watching Pac Man highlights. Damn, Pacquiao is fast. I did not know he was that fast and nimble.

He is a very hard target to hit, constant head movement. That's a very tough combination to beat. Very fast, elusive target and KO power. Damn.

lol u not seen pacman cotto yet,i must admit i had a big bet on cotto as i couldnt see pacman really hurting a full blown welterweight but he certainly made me a believer in me,i have been a fan of pacs since he destroyed barrera, although i have been against pac in his last 3 fights i will never be against him again

Zab Judah gave Mayweather problems in the 1st half of their fight. Mosley doesn't gas out and I would say that his speed is prob comparable to Judah. Mosley's power might be better, but he's almost 40.

I like Mosley's new trainer, i think he might be able to come up with a decent game plan.

FYP.

Seriously, if Mayweather doesn't make Mosley, a guy who has been caught on PEDs before, do all the testing he wanted Pac to do, he should be labelled a bitch forever.

Nothing would be more satisfying than watching Mosley beat Mayweather after Mayweather bitched out against Pacman.

I thought Mosley had preemptively agreed to PBF's testing policies.

Yea, but then we don't see Pac-PBF for sure then, wouldn't you think?
