Cowboys stadium in Dallas getting an inspection, so I would place that venue as the most likely site, along with its appeal factor, size, and zero state tax.
that seems pretty early. but it's my birthday so that'd rule.

What kind of prices would tickets cost if it was in Dallas? How about Vegas? I've never been to a boxing match and I guess this would be the one to go to.

No way will it be March 13th. Not going to happen. It'll definitely be pushed back by quite a bit. There's always something that pops up and throws a wrench into the plans.

I agree... I really can't see them only giving themselves 3 months to promote the most lucrative fight in history. Pushing it back to September would be horrendous for us fans that are going crazy over this fight though. Why can't Manny wait till he's retired from boxing before he starts to f**k around in politics?

Hell, they could promote this fight for a week and it still get massive amounts of buys. It's been hyped by the fans itself since Pacquiao beat Cotto

I think it has been hyped since Floyd came out of retirement

1. Neither guy needs to make weight.
2. Both guys are in training.
3. Pacquiao is supposedly running for political office in May.
4. Sooner the better $ wise.

March 13 seems reasonable.

Conspiracy theories are fun, even if I don't really believe them.

Quote:
If the HBO PPV fight happens on March 13, it would force the tentative HBO PPV fight between light heavyweights Roy Jones Jr. and Bernard Hopkins to move to another date. Hopkins and Jones both fight Wednesday and must win for their fight to go through.
Quote:
Australian Danny Green stopped Roy Jones Jr. in the first round of their IBO world cruiserweight title fight Wednesday, preventing the 40-year-old American from claiming his ninth title across five weight classes from middleweight to heavyweight.

Jones, who has eight belts across four divisions from middleweight to heavyweight, was a strong betting favorite.

March seems early...I would imagine they do a lot of worldwide promoting...then training...was thinking May

The sooner the better for everyone...

-Fans
-Floyd (the longer the wait til the fight, the greater chance he injures himself)
-Pacman (running for office in May apparently)
-Mosley/Berto (they fight jan 30)

Usually have a lock in, in my local for big fights (4am starts) but I might actually stay in and watch this @ home as I want to remember every second. Lets just get it on already.

Best news is that I'll be in America when the fight goes down. No PC screen for me. This fight is definitely PPV worthy imo

How much is a fight on HBO PPV in the States anyway?

Over here on Sky Box Office its always £15 (around $25). Well worth it.

4 months is enough time to promote this fight imo. Not like it really needs much promoting anyways.

It should be 50/50. We're talking upwards of $30 million for both fighters.

Really? What makes it so good - especially since they are not heavyweights?

It looks like something interesting to watch, but not like an ultimate event.

What makes it so good? These are the two best fighters in boxing right now, both in the prime of their careers.
