So this ends up with Italy losing their last two, Ireland slamming and Wales/France being a convenient draw and England come fifth, right?

Wales and Scotland winning with France nicking a bonus point could work as well.

As much as England finishing fifth would be good for the lols I'd love Italy to get something here.

I've never ever watched rugby before, but I'm really getting into this 6 Nations tournament. Great sport, don't know why it isn't more popular in the US given how similar it is to football.

Probably a case of why watch something like football when you can watch football. Plus TV companies not being able to have a dozen TV timeouts per half doesn't help I guess. Stick around for the World Cup in ~18 months at least, USA have got England/France/Argentina/Tonga in their group

Oh man, I hope USA#1 can at least beat our arch-enemy Tonga.

On current form, England would probably be the easy-beats in that group.

USA are a big underdog to Tonga - Rugby is their national sport, and they are pretty good at it. Other countries try to steal their players - USA .. not so much.

It seems I underestimated Tonga. Is the US a favorite over anyone?

They came really close multiples times to scoring a try at 24-12.

Never in doubt. And that last missed conversion means all we need is a bonus point for france to leave England in 5th

Even the England fans I watched with wanted Ireland to win.

Something I’ve been wondering as I’ve watched the tournament: is it possible that the Irish may be peaking right now as opposed to 18 months from now? They got bonus points in all but 1 match and have been dominant overall.

I’m not able to watch much Rugby outside of the major international tournaments, so that is more of an open question to those that watch it more.

As opposed to England you mean? Maybe, but nah. England's confidence must be shot to pieces. It's going to take a lot to turn that around in the space of a year. Ireland has all the momentum and they seem to be consistent.
