Nah, Im guessing Colston saw Brees dancing about and automatically assumed time was up. No way a coach got a message on to tell him to that if the ball is caught especially as he was so close to the sideline.

It's a bad throw, but the play is 100% on Payton and he deserves hearty lols for trying that instead of a throw into the endzone with Basketball and a chance for DPI. Even if executed correctly it's never working. Seahawks weren't fooled.

He had an eligible team mate 2 yards away. If he actually gets that ball away in a forward motion it would have been incomplete without a grounding penalty and the ball returned to the original line of scrimmage. That would have been genius. The safe and smart move was of course to throw the ball out the back of the endzone.

Absolutely idiotic, but you have to admit, that was a sweet toss and pick up off the bounce, that egg could bounce in any direction... half of the QBs in this league can't toss the ball on the run across their waist that well.

From the slow-mo I'm not sure he was even attempting to throw it, but I guess he was. Too many guys 2 x his size coming at him to think clearly in the moment. Snapper's fault ldo.

the punter was trying to throw a pass for an incompletion which would have sent the ball back the line of scrimmage near midfield, he just missed getting if off by a millisec... stop grouping him with the likes of colsten
