christ, that fourth round draw is spicy af, when wright is relegated to board two and you have games like ratajski/dvd, noppert/williams, humphries/heta and searle/dobey on the outer boards you know it's good. quite a lot of draws between players who came through the early rounds against each other as a corollary (by my count i've got it at 12/32) so going to be lots of randoms making tomorrow

We have a contender for miscount of the year, something so egregious that I assumed the PDC's data feed was doing ****y wucky things as usual and needed to find a live stream to find out it was, in fact, accurate. Robert Owen v Liam Maendl-Lawrence, leg 10, Owen is on 81 to take us to a decider, LML is on a high three dart out and not that good so no real pressure. Owen misses T19 (would go bull myself, but no big deal), then shanks one into 9 trying to hit 12 to leave bull. Rather than doing the maths, or thinking "I've got three less than what I wanted so I probably need to hit something ending in 3", Owen then throws at and hits fat 14 to leave 39. Even the scoreboard is confused, but the marker has it right, when Owen returns Noble tells him he requires 39. At which point, Owen then hits fat 5 to set up double 17. Remarkable.

Despite me betting on Owen in this game he does eventually get away with it to throw for the match, only for parity to be restored when LML finishes 129 on the bull to take it

Owen seems like a headcase, in the limited info I have stored away on him

Wright over Wade isn't the final I thought we'd get in the euros, but it is what it is, locks in Wade and van Duijvenbode as the last two spots in the Grand Slam, tour card holder quali for that is on Friday after the last two pro tours - which'll also decide who's making the worlds and who'll go through the PDPA qualifier.
