I'm going to assume that question is missing an "other than Josh Rock" in there somewhere as that's too obvious an answer, but other than that, these players are all scoring more than 90/turn this season:

Andrew Gilding (although his form has tailed off somewhat in the second half of the year), Jim Williams, Mike de Decker, Adrian Lewis, Ryan Joyce (if he gets through the quali), Jamie Hughes, Boris Krcmar, Simon Whitlock, Cameron Menzies, Keane Barry, Steve Lennon (again if he gets through the quali) and Ryan Meikle.

There's some moderately dangerous names in the international qualifiers but either haven't shown up in any events I track (Raymond Smith would be the obvious one) or are reliant on showing up on the day (Bialecki, Gates, Rafferty I guess)

The most bizarre leg of darts you'll ever see.

Mensur being Mensur.

Ryan Joyce (as expected), Jeff Smith (thought Lennon would take this portion but Jeff edged him out 6-5 in the semi) and Richie Burnett (yes, really, not been playing bad stuff) complete your worlds lineup

alright, my chatting **** almost spoiler free thoughts about the worlds draw is here:

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1665235882

but if people don't want to listen to me talking bollocks with zero production quality for over an hour, which you don't, cliffs are:

- top quarter is kind of meh, burnett probably actually wins a game, williams/bialecki has the potential to be great, o'connor/greaves may not be too bad
- second quarter is maybe slightly less meh, wattimena/rafferty should be good, evans ought to murder sherrock but is also the perfect opponent for sherrock given his tendency to **** the bed, lewis is probably the one player other than rock heta didn't want to draw, brown/hempel isn't a bad game
- third quarter doesn't have a ton of great first round games, but looking forward barry/huybrechts, hughes/dolan and (later) rock/aspinall could be spectacular
- last quarter has all the good opening games. apart from the razma/jiwa and kleermaker/han games, they should all be excellent. second round games involving king and suljovic should also be very entertaining

Thats awesome, that’s probably my favorite session on the schedule. 4 amazing games and you get to watch Beau crush O’Connor.

Would love to hear your guys’ thoughts on who should make premier league as of now. Matt Edgar just released a video where he thinks Wade and Clayton along with Luke are getting in with the final spot going to one of Asp/Dirk/whoever makes a deep run.

Personally, I think he’s way off. Clayton shouldn’t get in, but will. Wade I don’t think gets in. In my eyes, Luke and Noppert should be locks right now. That leaves one spot between the bubble guys and that should go to whoever makes the deeper run IMO.

I would also agree that Humphries and Noppert should be locks. Luke's won four Euro Tours, has two major semis this season and already has three worlds quarters, and ticks all the Sky boxes. Danny's won a major, made a semi in another and two more quarters. Not as good to watch, but the level of play and results are there. Obv MvG/Price/Wright/Smith are in as the top four. I'd also include Ross Smith out of winning a major general principle but unless he backs things up at Ally Pally he's not getting in (and as he'd get Dirk in round three, he's not doing that). Probably comes down to the worlds, Aspinall is who I'd have as the last pick right now as two major finals is quite good, but I could easily see someone like Dirk, Rock, Heta (if he ever stops sucking on TV), Clayton, Cross, Chizzy etc going very deep and asking the question. Frankly as long as they don't give Anderson the Barney treatment (heck, Barney's done more than Anderson this year) and actually stick their neck on the blocks rather than postponing the decision until the Masters, I don't care

Think I'd just sort by world ranking atm, assuming someone from off the board doesn't win the worlds.

That'd make it Humphries, Cross, Clayton and Wade which is fairly uninspiring

With event starting this week, I want to give some predictions on how I think it will go.

Quarter 1
-De Sousa makes a deep run, beats Price for the top half of the quarter
-Beau wins her opening match, probably beats Clemens too
-Noppert wins the quarter

Quarter 2
-At least half the seeds lose their first match
-Chizzy wins the quarter

Quarter 3
-Josh Rock makes the run that everyone is expecting
-An unseeded player wins this quarter (not Rock, Keane Barry!)

Quarter 4
-MVG vs Dirk will be the match of the tournament.
-Dobey wins the bottom half of the quarter
-Dirk wins the quarter.

This leads to an all-Dutch final where Dirk lifts the trophy!

Really? There's probably close to a dozen seeds that seem in trouble of losing their first game, all of the first round games featuring gawlas, williams (all 3), o'connor, wattimena, evans, brown, nentjes, mansell, de decker, sedlacek and campbell should be fire

Smith>MVG in the final.
Dobey makes a run.
Barney dumps Price (again!)
Heta finally wins a game on tv

Write ups just finished now, will get tips and provisional plays through to Sunday out tomorrow. It's been a fair bit of work but it does help to focus the mind and pick up more nuanced stuff than you'd get by just looking at pure numbers
