He's clearly spent the nine darter and world final money, as he's just back from the Isle of Man with his other half, and they're getting home on the same bus as me lol

Lewis and Wade unseeded? Jesus do they ever practice?

Seedings are done off the Pro Tour, Lewis hadn't bothered with it for the last twelve months or so and while Wade did he's been crap for most of it (although he has been a lot better so far this season)

That Meulenkamp v DvdB game could be spectacular, both have been bringing it so far this year. Clayton/Wattimena, Dobey/Jones and de Zwaan/Noppert all look like great games to watch

Had a 15 darter last night with a 107 checkout. Guy I was playing against had absolutely 0 idea that I was out and was wondering why I was doing weird **** throwing all over the board. Immediate next leg was one of those ****** battles of who can hit d1 first.

always remember when Bristow won his 5th world title, Sid Waddell said

'When Alexander the Great of Macedonia was 33, he cried salt tears because there were no more worlds left to conquer. Bristow's only 27'

5 world titles, helped create the PDC, 'discovered' and sponsored Phil Taylor to get him on the road to success

RIP Bristow. Surely the most important person in terms of popularizing top-flight darts in the 80s.

Mickey Mansell just won a Pro Tour event. I have no words

Hopp somehow in a Euro Tour final, just broken back against Smith to make it 5-6 on his throw in a race to 8, maybe?

And he's only gone and won it with a 121 out on the bull to break in the deciding leg. Just as he did in the semi vs Cross. Jesus christ

de Zwaan won today's event, which should make him safe for every major (probably needs to pick up another few grand to be safe for the Matchplay, but shouldn't have issues with doing that)

Crazy how many good youngsters there are right now, MvG, Cross, Smith, van den Bergh, Cadby, de Zwaan, Hopp, Schindler, Jamie Lewis and Noppert could all be around for the next two decades

Lewis hit a nine today and looks to be getting back close to his peak, White won the whole thing. Nobody will be watching the Euro Tour from Hamburg this weekend, myself included, but it's the last event before the cut off point for the Matchplay and the key thing is that if Kim Huybrechts wins his opening game, Alan Norris doesn't qualify

They've also announced a couple of weeks ago that the worlds will now run with 96 players (top 32 in world straight into round 2 obv), which interestingly includes two women's qualifiers. Most of the additional spots have gone to main tour players so it shouldn't dilute the quality that much

Bump for Matchplay. Have done a ton of analysis on it, which so far has seen a 3-1 shot I was on blow a 7-3 lead in a race to ten and me talk myself out of betting on the lolmvg that just ensued

Tough to say who wins from here. Would like to see Cross win it and put some heat on MVG for the number 1 spot somewhere down the line

Apparently Wade is the only winner left in the field.

If Gurney wins I may have to throw the TV away,

I added the results from last night into a full projection of the tournament and Smith/Cross/Wright were all within 1% of each other at around 17-18%, obv the bookies have Anderson as favourite

Sky have Taylor on comms, didn't watch last night but you would have to think he'll be awful

Edit - yep, Wade's the only previous winner so while he's playing a lot better this year we're getting a new winner

I feel like I could give Klaasen a run for his money at this point.

de zwaan gonna win it all

now got chizzy as fourth favourite behind cross, wright and ando, think betting anyone but anderson is the play, he's as short as 6/5 to bink in some places but still has to win two games to reach the final and i would have him as a dog to either wright or cross. heck, i've only got him as an 11/10 favourite against white, lol
