Random question - I've always had this thing about the target not being round (except for the bull, obv). When someone throws and hits a 20, say, is there any record of where in the 20 the dart is? I have a feeling that some sucker used to track this and it would appear on a giant board so the crowd could see (before big screens)?
Not sure, but just knowing the ave distance from the centre of the target would be great. You can be 0.5cm off and miss or 2.5cm (or whatever) and hit when it comes to doubles.
live pdc scores show whether someone misses on the skinny side (inside the treble) or the fat side (outside the treble) but no idea if anyone misses by X mm's etc...

Lakeside certainly used to have huge light boards to indicate where a dart had gone.
I don't think anywhere near that level of tracking is in existence, but there's certainly stats you can look at with regards to the bull for general accuracy, think ochepedia on twitter did a graphic recently plotting the percentages of bull/25/anything else
I'm doing the analysis for this one and the remainder of tomorrow's games I've not done when I'm back from the pub, but the market has it nearly 75/25 in favour of Cross which seems far too one sided just off gut instinct. Perfectly possible that Smith can play his A game and still lose but he looked good in round one
