van Gerwen wins first Players Championship of the season beating lolwade in the final, seems like he was going for bull at every opportunity to troll

Getting the data off dartconnect is taking way too long, need to find a way to automate it but I've got 2/6 UK Open qualifiers in my database now, thankfully the PC events are half the size and will take half the time so they don't build the backlog too much. Looking at some of the players in earlier rounds I'm now convinced that if I did Q-school I'd be better than 50% to win a leg. Part got bagelled by someone that only finished one leg in six visits lol

Right now some guy called Ryan Joyce, who wasn't even on my ranking sheet this time yesterday, is one game away from back to back tour semi finals (and as he plays either Stevenson or Shepherd he's got to be live to do so)

Usually just check out some figure or hit some double or treble more than once in a visit. The guy running it is a bit hit and miss with the difficulty levels but it's a quick break from 501

done with the uk open qualifying stats. pretty huge fall from grace to see former worlds* finalist dean winstanley average under 80 when he's winning and under 70 when he's losing for the third lowest overall average of anyone who threw a dart in these things. benito's also barely out of the bottom 10%, that's how bad he's playing right now (although, comically, he did actually qualify, unlike jan dekker, who's in the top 10% and didn't). top 10 overall are mvg, cross, smith, gurney, gary, cadby, barney, dimitri (who didn't even get a bye into the second round, let alone the third), wright and white

Deano took last year pretty much off after dropping off the tour so there is that. Some of the averages are shocking though, Part was down in the 70s as well

what the heck west, on 92 with pallett back on 141, opts to go bull route, which is fine, but then after 25-17 sets up tops instead, if you're going to do that start on 20's, jesus

Cadby seems way too long to win outright, I've got him as a dog to beat Anderson but not even 60/40, and both of them are over 80% favourites in their semis, 3/1 looks huge
