First weekend of two UK Open qualifiers start today (for the pros at least, the amateurs have been going for a couple of weeks now and notably Hogan is back), interesting to see how those who've been doing crap and slipping down the rankings (Lewis, Wade) and the new guys do. Also is the Dutch Open on the BDO side, a tournament so large it starts at the round of 4096

MvG beat Smith in the first one, Wright and Lewis also getting chunks, the latter being a bit of a cock in one of his earlier round games and is under investigation lol

Cadby casually beat Cross then missed about ten match darts in a decider to Whitlock

Some sort of incident in his match against Perales caused him to go on monkey tilt, there's brief bits on YouTube as the match was streamed

The best bit is he won the match anyway

Apparently they had to be forcefully separated by security staff. Guess Lewis started it.

Yeah, I've seen the YouTube of the last leg and Lewis seemed incredibly rustled

Kind of excited about something called DartConnect which the PDC are using for a bunch of their tournaments, if it's as good as a load of other darts nerds are making out on twitter then it could be the equivalent of understat.com, giving you the betting advantage you've always wanted. Just need to be able to look things up on a PC as their mobile site seems crap and then hope that if they have the data I want I can write a script to get what I need

The Lewis thing was ****ing weird. Watched the video and the best I could gather was that it looked like he tilted at the dude having a bit of dartitis and playing slowly, Lewis rushed him and eventually stepped on the back of Perales heels as he was finishing his third dart. Perales turned and said something and Lewis was a dong about it.

Nice. I just got my first dart board a month ago.

Still trying to get my first 180, had the first two 5 times so far.

Best 501 is 21 darts currently thanks to a two dart checkout from 89!

Nice! My best finish the other day was hitting shots I wasn't aiming for. I think I hit triple 16 aiming for triple 19, triple 17 while also aiming for triple 19, then miraculously hitting triple 7. (120), I could have been a real man and gone for 60, 60, but I was drunk and when I'm drunk the lower side of the board is easier. Sunruning the wrong triples ftw!

He actually was second only to MvG in averages on the floor last week. Sure he lost all three games...

Cross lost in the semi final today to Ando, seems fine. Virtual final though given the other semi was de Zwaan against whatever a Jason Lowe is. De Zwaan won that, I was saying a couple of years ago he seemed to be legit, he looked to be getting it late last year and this seems to back things up, maybe try some sort of making the worlds prob bet?

van Gerwen wins first Players Championship of the season beating lolwade in the final, seems like he was going for bull at every opportunity to troll

Getting the data off dartconnect is taking way too long, need to find a way to automate it but I've got 2/6 UK Open qualifiers in my database now, thankfully the PC events are half the size and will take half the time so they don't build the backlog too much. Looking at some of the players in earlier rounds I'm now convinced that if I did Q-school I'd be better than 50% to win a leg. Part got bagelled by someone that only finished one leg in six visits lol
