Last night was first time I remember seeing Rafa resigned to losing on the court. When he lost the third set he knew he couldn't win. Never saw that before.

I am one of the 10.5% (56 of 533) that voted for Djokovic. This thread was opened in September 2010 but I am not sure when the poll was closed.

Djokovic's win over Nadal counts for nothing if he chokes in the final tomorrow.

I think beating Nadal was a monumental win here. I also think if Nole loses the final it pretty much erases the Nadal win. Maybe I think that wrongly, but I also think that there isnt and shouldnt be a chance in hell he loses the final. Market says Tsitsi has about 25%, thats probably correct. That 25% has 0% to come through.

Such a sick match and I'm a pretty big hater of the FO and clay tennis in general. I dunno why I feel like Tsitsipas could actually win tomorrow. Elite day of sport tomorrow.

I don't think he needs to win tomorrow to solidify the result. It's like Miracle on Ice ****, but Djokovic actually has a FO win already, and if he didn't, then he would actually have to win tomorrow.

True that the FO he has makes it a lot less important, then it would truly be do or die, gotta agree with that. Still second FO with a win over Nadal in the semi is something that is tough to argue against if things are closish when the dust is settled. But a final loss after such a win and you being a huge fav is quite a bit of ammo. Really do hope Tsitsi pushes it close!

Remember that none of the Big 3 has won the career slam twice. Federer never will, Nadal might but probably won’t, Djokovic has always been the most likely. Beating Tsitsipas will probably finalise the GOAT debate, but if he loses then doesn’t win Wimbledon, it makes 22+ slams that little bit harder.

sigh, I feel djokovic is going to come back from 0-2 down today and win this match. This FO could really cement his case for GOAT which pains me. I just find Fed/Nadal more likeable than djokovic.

But the number of times the clearly better play has been down 0-2 in a final is also not a super huge number. He was like +220 or something in live line downs down 0-2
