Nadal's H2H record against Federer was one of the dumbest GOAT arguments of all time.

Like half the matches are on clay because Nadal sucked to much to get to hardcourt finals and lose to Roger

Yeah Federer owns him 8-9 on other surfaces

All the non-Djokovic GOAT arguments are pretty dumb though

15 matches on clay, 13 in Rafa favor. If Fed gets just as many cracks on indoor and averages hold their record against one another is basically even.

Djokovic will never go down as the GOAT (even though he actually might be) because he isn't liked. He hasn't got what the rest of these guys have. If that makes sense.

He probably got more cracks on clay and outdoor hard because those make up 90% of tennis tournaments.

Point was Nadal dominated Federer on all outdoor surfaces, not just clay.

Basically he means Novak doesn't get support from tennis fans around the world, see yesterday - crowd rooting for the dog. Where as Rafa is liked all over the world and Roger is unique and is loved all over the world.

There is a reason Roger gets twice as much sponsorship money as to what Novak gets. Despite sponsors looking at Novak as going to be on the TV in all slam finals (well, not all) and holding the trophy up these past few years.

Totally makes sense. People also have a hard time accepting a new GOAT when they think they've seen the GOAT before the actual GOAT.


And a huge lol at anyone who thinks this ruins Djokovic's legacy. He still can get a career slam. He already has held the 4 major titles at once, something that Fed never could accomplish.

Roger has been there dominating significantly longer than Novak. Djokovic was the new guy on the block in 2011 when he first started trashing the Big Four. It's only natural that tennis fans will stick to their established favourite and root against the guy destroying him. It isn't because Roger is a classy gent and Novak is a neanderthal.
Crowd always want to see underdogs succeed and make matches interesting and get their money's worth. They cheered for Marcus vs Fed.
I could also go into Fed and Novak's characters and personalities and explain why Novak is better even though Fed fans will never accept it but I don't want to bring more negativity to this thread.
