We had Sid shortlisted but just couldn't pick him as he's just ****ing awful on the mic.

Has his leg healed yet?

I actually really like this pick. He's limited but he's one of the best monsters on the board.

Sid was pretty much awful at everything outside of being the biggest ****ing intimdating psycho dude out there. And I love him for that, cause Sid was Sid

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

I always liked Sid. he sucks on the mic kind of and isn't that great in the ring but something about him always entertained me. I always thought it was really interesting how over he was at the Royal Rumble/WrestleMania during his feud with Hogan. He was clearly the more popular wrestler at that time.

I love this clip and Sid's reaction in it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGZE0h1mZ6M

Seriously, there's very few huge guys who are really good at anything but being huge, and you gotta have one. I got one more semi-sleeper pick who I think would be a fantastic monster for the guys who are focused on "workrate" and all, but I think Sid fits in with my posse really well.

As for mic skills - definitely a matter of personal taste on that. If nothing else it sells that he's into the match.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

Like the Sid pick a lot. He's got all the intangibles and I feel like he's definitely better value than Malenko and Storm at this point of the draft. I'm with KDawg that you need to grab the guys that can draw in the main event first and then worry about fleshing out the midcard with guys who will steal the show at a couple PPVs later on. A guy like AJ or Daniels I think can potentially do both so I'm fine with them going early, but Malenko and Storm are pretty one-dimensional and honestly, I don't think they're any better in the ring than Daniels anyway.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

Think he woulda fallen to round 5? Honestly I'm running out of gas a bit on people I know and there's one more dude I really want that is probably more popular with the rest of you guys that Sid.

Anyone feel like linking a good video of Daniels in action? I'm not familiar with him at all but he sounds pretty good.

I doubt he sticks around until five, as I'm pretty sure we would've taken him if he was available on our pick.

No way. We talked about Sid in round 3 and if he was still there in round 4 I'd have tried to see ajohnson on him 100%.

Every move seems 10x better in that match. Even a powerslam is mind-blowing.

That triple threat match is pure cash money records, I watched it back to back to back times the first time I saw it online.

Real good choice on Sid, I was taking him with my next pick if he was there FWIW
