hahaha. It'd be interesting as both guys like their big matches fairly scripted out, which could be interesting to watch

you're the guy I wanted to jump ahead to grab joe, I figured that the other guys wouldn't be as into joe as you. I also had a feeling that you'd be aiming for a Joe/Punk Feud redux in your fed. I'll say it now, I was kinda thinking of Joe/Punk for deezy and I's pick in the first round/second round if we couldn't get Eddie or Jericho

I really love the DDP pick. I love his finisher, I love his general style and I like him. He always seemed to have fun in the ring, and got the biz rather late and was a manager for a while. I think that helps him as while he was older, he didn't have as much wear and tear on his body as almost anyone would have at the age he was at when he got big, and that helps a lot

agree. There's another undrafted who I think people are going to want more than guys picked in rd. 2.

mwj and I looked at DDP twice. We definitely came close to going with him but we kinda soured on him at some point. He's one of those guys where we couldn't really figure out where his success came from. I guess he had a lot of charisma, but he wasn't particularly great with the mic or in the ring.

yea, he was one of the few bright lights during a very crappy period for WCW. I think if he had gotten into the ring at an earlier age, he would've had a good period of being on the top, or at least near the top

what I like about DDP is that he did a great job as a face, and did a really good job as a heel too, so he's teh kind of guy that if you book it right, can go back and forth fairly easily between the two sides. A lot of guys that are at the second belt and up level are generally either a face or heel for the most part, and I think that DDP was really good at doing both, which IMO helps a whole lot to a promotion as a whole and certainly extends his own lifespan in a promotion

DDP was honestly at the top of my list heading in to this round. Amazingly enough, my #2 guy is still there as well. Just gotta dodge 4 more!!

Yea, this is why I thought people wouldn't like the pick. I think a lot of it was just being the only guy who EVER won against the NWO for a long time. I mean, everyone else got beat down, then ended up joining them. They kept Sting in the rafters for like a year and half and then Hogan basically crushed him in his huge comeback match. Fans needed a face to cheer and DDP was right place right time.

Doesn't mean he wasn't awesome though haha

I think that what it is, is that DDP does a lot of stuff pretty well, but nothing that is amazing

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

i think that daniels is a bit early here, but, I do love him. He's a quality heel that just needs to really have a promotion behind him. My only general worry with him is that he hasn't had a lot of great matches against guys that are bigger then him. He generally is just a junior heavyweight, and while he's had great matches with Joe, Joe is the only bigger guy that has really clicked with Daniels

Yeah I've always liked Daniels even though I don't really watch TNA at all.

I have a feeling this might be a pretty unpopular pick, but screw it. I’m a huge DDP mark.
That's not a bad thing, that's a good thing.

His book is great btw.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

I figured Daniels would go pretty quickly after Samoa Joe if I didn't pick him, so I don't think it's really too early in that sense. I think he's a really good fit with my other two guys.

**** you. I just clicked on the spoiler tag instead of going to the music link thinking that it was another 70s or 80s wrestler I'd never recognize the theme for, and this is one of the few themes I would have marked hard for. I think Daniels is a great talent and will do even better with the roster you have around him. A Rock/Daniels feud would be EPIC. Great pick.

I meant in my rankings, not where he went in this draft. I don't think < 10 years of the Rock is better than 30 years of Flair or Hogan, so I definitely don't think he should've gone #2.
