Bret/Owen/BB OR Brew/Edge/BB?
I'd rather have Edge than Owen personally.

Only caught up to this point but I like both the Christian and Bulldog picks. Christian more than Bulldog who can get a little stale, but for late round 3 they're both good picks.

Bando's got the super-heavyweight federation going....I like the pick, good idea to take a big man who is a good in-ring worker, as Batista/Hogan are kind of lacking in that area

not sure when it was, but i like the dusty rhodes pick... i think he's the most popular wrestler ever, but on a regional/super-regional basis... i think he's exactly what you want. can create a money-making feud out of anything.

BTW, and i did see some of this, is there some sort of hard or soft prohibition against older wrestlers? i mean, i think the sheik created some of the greatest heat ever. and even though i don't know him personally, people like gourgeous george (sp?) were classic.

No prohibition against older wrestlers, one of those undrafted is pretty high on my list of best wrestlers available.

It's a video of Spoony (Internet critic, mainly does video game reviews) reviewing Warrior's comic WARRIOR. If you thought Warrior's interviews in the ring were crazy, you've never read the literary masterpiece by Warrior that is WARRIOR

I love both the Joe pick and the Bigelow pick. I always thought Bam Bam was a little underutilized, watching him wrestle Bret live in 1993 at a little house show at Mount St. Mary's in Maryland was an eye-opener, he was a much better worker seeing him in person than I ever gave him credit for. And he could cut a pretty good promo, too.

Wow, just looked through the thread. Looks like the NFL draft took four months. I would definitely not be in for a draft that lasted that long. The last thing I need to do is make my 2+2 addiction even worse by posting 6 hours a day instead of 4. (Kinda sad how little I'm exaggerating with that.)

As for the Joe pick, I don't hate it, but I think he's a little early, and I think he's also not the best fit for a Hogan/Batista fed. I think being around smaller guys kind of masks his weaknesses whereas if you put him next to Batista, the first thing on everyone's mind will be "wow, Joe's not a badass at all, he's just some short fat guy. He's gonna get his ass kicked". And just on general all-around talent, I think you can definitely find guys who are a little better that never worked in any promotions larger than TNA.

We stayed away from Joe because he's a short pudgy one.

Srsly. We drafted Vince and he made us do it!

Write-up for British Bulldog

With our 3rd round pick, and #56 overall, we select...

The British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith

The British Bulldog's camaradarie with the Hart Foundation (and, in particular, Bret Hart) is very well-known. Before he got his start with the WWF, he trained in Alberta with multiple members of the Hart family, including Stu Hart and Bret Hart.

Along with the Hart foundation, Davey Boy was a part of the 1997 Feud of the Year for their work against Stone Cold. He also won Best Wrestling Maneuver
in 1984 with his Power Clean Dropkick. He was also a part of the Tag Team of the Year in 1985 with The Dynamite Kid.

He was so popular overseas that the WWF decided to hold a PPV in England that drew ~80K people.

Interesting fact about Bulldog (from Wiki):

Thanks to Smith's mother mistakenly writing his gender in the line where his middle name was supposed to go, his legal middle name was "Boy."

Davey Boy's accomplishments:

--2-time WWF European Championship (Inaugural)
--2-time WWF Hardcore Championship
--WWF Intercontinental Championship
--2-time WWF World Tag Team Championship–with The Dynamite Kid and Owen Hart

Our roster:

Bret "The Hitman" Hart
"The Rated R Superstar", Edge
"The British Bulldog", Davey Boy Smith

I think you'd have to do partners or multiple partners to do it effectively.

I think a cool idea for a draft would be a college basketball draft where you can't draft guys who have played in the nba.

Man I thought for sure JBL would drop to me in round 3-4. I'm kind of a JBL mark, he and The Rock would have been A+ promos.
