Owen is awesome obv... wanted to bring this up earlier but not really sure how. Can we hypothetically keep Owen alive as it was a freak managerial mistake that killed him and not some body issue?

I think Owen went just a tad too early but not by very much at all.

I think so, I don't think death should be a factor in this draft to be honest, espcially not a random death like Owen's

Owen at 41 has to be a steal. He is the total package. He's great in the ring, on the mic, as a good guy, as a bad guy, as a gimmick. King of Harts imo.

This is really up to whatever everybody wants imo. If keeping him alive makes this more fun for everyone, than I'm all for it.

There's still a few wrestlers I take over him. But again, not many and certainly not a round's worth.

It makes for an interesting debate. In watching the Wrestlemania X match, its clear that Owen had what it took to be a top guy, of course it helped that his brother was getting him over.

Owen seems to be a guy that Vince really didn't know what to do as to get the full value out of Owen. You can see the talent there, but Owen always seemed to not get too many good angles or matches.

I'm fine calling Owen's death a fluke and assuming his career would have had a couple more years at least. I mean you're already getting a pretty good 15 years anyway (with his underrated Stampede work).

So goddamn happy you used that theme.

I was just talking to another friend a few weeks ago and came to the conclusion that "King of Hearts" Owen was my favorite wrestling character ever. It's not because he later tragically died, but just such a good character.

The fact that Owen was an incredible wrestler and had very good mic skills in that era only added to it.

Plus, that posted theme is my most favorite theme ever. Not sure why, I loved it on WWF RAW on Sega and its just kind of stuck with me from that point.

A+ to this pick from me.

Lesnar is a great pick this late, and IMO better than Warrior.

Yeah I pretty much feel the same way as this.

I don't like the Austin/Lesnar pairing. Isn't it going to be pretty hard to convince the fans that a third person could ever win the title?

Didn't really watch WWE when Lesnar was big, but from the vids I've seen he looked great....that vid of him breaking his neck on the moonsault attempt is insanity

I don't know if I'm sad or glad that Owen didn't make it back to us in the 3rd round...what would you guys have thought about a Bret/Owen + Edge top 3??

We would have had an odd decision to make...

Wrane/Antidan start round 3 with:

Spoiler:

The best wrestling announcer ever.

In my opinion, a wrestling organization needs a very good announcer to be great. Ross fills that role and more. He will emphasize storylines, make average matches good, good matches very good, very good matches great and great matches amazing. He will help all our wrestlers appear even better than before. At this point, with most of the top talent gone, I think Ross is the best value on the board.

OUR ORGANIZATION: Orton, Benoit, Ross

wtf it's very clearly spelled out in the OP as he's going to die.

Ross is a terrible pick IMO.

Nah, not with proper booking. Besides, I wanted to build my promotion around a superstar face and a main-event heel that had an actual moveset. Lesnar was sick in the head when he was heel. For god sakes, he threw a one-legged kid down a flight of stairs!

How long into the 30 years before Lesnar drops Austin on his neck and permanently paralyzes him?
